Converge will offer a highly performant EVM, with added security features via a novel validator network to optimize for onboarding billions in institutional capital

Converge will be optimized around three guiding principles:
- Achieving a performant EVM environment with 100ms blocktimes & at-scale throughput, with a rapid path to Gigagas/s performance
- Frictionless ease of use with USDe and USDtb as gas tokens
- Secure guardrails for institutional capital, RWAs, and onchain finance via the Converge Validator Network (CVN)
This technical edge, combined with @ethena_labs and @Securitize together today jointly boasting nearly $10B in TVL/AUM, positions Converge to become one of the largest blockchain networks in production for financial applications

Highly performant EVM experience for users & devs:
Converge will be highly performant from day one, powered by a custom implementation of @conduitxyz's G2 sequencer with Arbitrum underneath
From launch Converge will have 100ms blocktimes and up to 100 Mgas/s max throughput, with a clear path to 50ms and up to a Gigagas/s in the year post launch
10x performance can be achieved through a number of improvements including mini-block streaming, multi-threaded sequencer optimization, and optimized state storage for nodes/sequencers
All this will be underscored by extremely low transaction costs with Celestia data availability, even state intensive transactions should come at sub-cent levels
Low fees & scalable performance will allow @etherealdex and other Converge-native apps to provide best-in-class user experiences
Ease of Use:
Converge will also focus on better user experiences for users and developers alike, inclusive but not limited to:
- USDtb and USDe as gas tokens to allow users to more easily account for transaction fees
-ERC-7702 and other account abstraction tools to allow for ways around UX blockers such as ERC-20 approvals and gas management
- Easy fund and user onboarding through interoperability partners to easily bring @ethena_labs' USDe, USDtb, @Securitize-issued RWAs, and other assets from other major networks, including Ethereum, Solana, and all EVM L2s, and exchanges
Security via the Converge Validator Network (CVN):
The CVN will serve as a foundational layer of security, governance, and economic alignment for the Converge chain, powered by staking Ethena's governance token, ENA
The CVN will provide additional security guardrails for the network without compromising decentralization or liveness
Unlike traditional validator sets that solely focus on consensus or data availability, the CVN is purpose-built to address the unique security and coordination challenges of a chain purpose built for institutional capital
To be clear: there will be no new token for the chain
Permissionless out of the box, permissioned on an app-by-app basis:
Utilizing Converge as a developer or user is permissionless out of the box. Anybody can bridge USDe or other assets to the network and use permissionless applications, and any developer can deploy smart contracts as they please
Permissioning is involved on an app-by-app basis and for RWAs, where certain applications and smart contract functionalities are held to whitelisted parties
