#1 MORE PIMP LOOKS

There should have been minimum 5 Slick Rick homages. Where are my "Pimp named slickbacks"??? Where are my chains, grills, gaudy long droopy clothings? Turned out pockets (extra credit if they were laced in gold), cigars, $$$ prop, Walking canes, mink coats???

#2 ACCESSORY FORWARD OUTFITS

I should have seen suits made out of grills, gaudy jewelry galore (bordering on costume jewelry). Glasses made out of watches, suits made of out of watches, decked out wrist/rolex arms, panty house + upturned pocket linens, pocket squares!!!

#3 ZOOT SUITS

This was too easy and barely anyone did it. I need 6-7 foot crocodile dress shoes, curled tip steeled toed boots, CIGARS, Plaid zoot suits, cuban zoot suits, chain links, money, revolvers, feather in hats, Ties to the floor, Crocodile skins???

#4 PROPERLY TAILORED + DECONSTRUCTED SUITS

People keep styling the suits to match their physique rather than to match the DANDYISM flared look. I would have loved to see a burlap x suit material costume. Where the suit has holes to reveal an inner burlap seam.

#5 SOUTHERN CHURCH COUTURE???
Where are my GLOVES????? Armed gloves, long stockings??? Church hats??? Easter Sunday?? Jewelry? Fans??? (I only saw Tessa Thompson execute this).

#6 AFRICAN DANDYSIM

Where are my Congolese, South African, Nigerian suits??? hello??? like this was dead wrong to be so lacking. Where are my Uncles???? (Solange knew what was up)

#7 AFROFUTURIST DANDYISM / Past + Future Dandysim

This would have been the perfect time to match future/present textiles with those of the past:

#8 HALF DRESS / HALF SUIT / ANDROGYNY
I should have seen way more playfulness here. Half Dress/Half Suit. Playful queerness, femme fatale / masc looks. Like hello????

#9 MORE MERGE BETWEEN FLAPPER X DANDYISM

I saw too many flapper eras without the mixture of dandyism. Or I would have loved to see more feminine + colorful women's clothing with a Dandysim touch. Both elements should have blended as below:

Where are my Brick Tops? Gladys Smiths?? André Leon Talley? Josephine Baker? Ethel Waters? Grace Jones Hello? Queer Icons? (Kudos to Teyana Taylor on this)

Vastly underutilized but I see you Jeremy O. Harris. Where are my horse whips, chevalier's, monarchy fits???

Overall: I could have seen more. I'll probably do another thread of my top looks because I did see about 20 people (tops). Who did some of the categories above but overall... I expected more. Bar is in hell. 😕

Some extra credit accessories: Where were my bagssss man??? I would have loved to see people jump out of LVMH suit cases, luggages, old school bags, even old school rucksacks!!! Like where is the play?
