"Islam will conquer Europe- not by the sword, but through da’wah and ideology." (Yusuf Qaradawi)

Who are the #Muslim_Brotherhood, and why is it essential for every citizen of Europe or America to have at least a basic understanding of this extremely dangerous movement?

In recent decades, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi (1926–2022) has served as the #Muslim_brotherhood movement’s undisputed spiritual leader.

Al-Qaradawi was educated in Egypt at Al-Azhar, the most prestigious academic institution in the Sunni Muslim world.

In the 1960s, he relocated to Qatar 🇶🇦 founded the Faculty of Islamic Studies, and spread his teachings to tens of millions of Muslims through @AlJazeera

Qaradawi is the one who issued a religious ruling permitting the murder of women and children in suicide attacks targeting Israeli civilians. He also expressed deeply antisemitic views, stating:
“The last punishment the Jews received was from Hitler, who did what he did — and the Jews, of course, greatly exaggerated what happened… The next punishment for the Jews, with Allah’s help, will be at the hands of the Muslims.”

The vision of the #Muslim_Brotherhood, founded in 1928 in Egypt by Hassan al-Banna, extends far beyond personal piety or social reform.

It is a comprehensive political vision aimed at establishing a global Islamic Caliphate governed by Sharia law while dismantling modern national borders and rejecting Western models of statehood, citizenship, and democracy.

As the movement’s founder, Hassan al-Banna, wrote: ״the movement’s mission is To restore the international standing of the Islamic nation by liberating its lands and reviving its glorious past… until the long-awaited unity and the lost Caliphate are restored״. (Risālat al-Taʿālīm)

In essence, there is no fundamental difference between the vision of the Muslim Brotherhood and that of ISIS, Boko Haram, or al-Qaeda. The only distinction lies in the methods and tools used to realize that vision. The Brotherhood relies primarily on social activity, education, cultural influence, persuasion and preaching, the accumulation of public support, quiet infiltration into centers of power — and ultimately, forceful takeover.

As stated by the authors of the hard-hitting report commissioned by the French Interior Ministry, which warned of the Brotherhood’s deep penetration into key institutions in France:

“The #Muslim_Brotherhood does not seek dialogue with the state — but rather aims to bypass it, weaken it, portray it as devoid of values, and ultimately — replace it.”

The #Muslim_Brotherhood movement gave rise to:

Sayyid Qutub: the radical ideologue who was imprisoned and executed in Egypt; his writings later became the ideological foundation for al-Qaeda, ISIS, and other global jihadist organizations.

Abdullah Azzam: the spiritual mentor of Osama bin Laden and one of the key founders of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda.

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas was established in 1987 at the outset of the First Intifada as a direct offshoot of the #Muslim_Brotherhood in Gaza in 1988.

The Hamas Charter opens with the words of Hasan Al Bana: “Israel will arise and continue to exist until Islam erases it...”

Qatar 🇶🇦 controls 3 million residents (most foreign workers) and the vast natural gas reserves of the Persian Gulf.

Today, it stands as the political, financial, and media stronghold of the #Muslim_Brotherhood.

Its singular ambition is to become a regional power that leverages its wealth and media reach to shape a new Islamist world order.

In December 2022, Belgian authorities arrested and charged several individuals, including Greek MEP and then-Vice President of the European Parliament, Eva Kaili, as part of a corruption investigation involving Qatar. The charges included participation in a criminal organization, money laundering, and corruption.

Qatar bought the rights to host the last World Cup through bribery and political maneuvering.

• Investigations by The Guardian, The Sunday Times, and Le Monde exposed extensive networks of corruption, political promises, and financial incentives that led to Qatar being awarded the 2022 World Cup.

• FIFA executive committee members reportedly received millions in bribes, real estate deals, and personal investments in exchange for their votes.

• FIFA never launched a meaningful investigation

According to the Middle East Forum, Qatar has spent approximately $71.6 million on direct lobbying, public relations, and legal services in the U.S. since 2015.

The @AlJazeera Qatari channel was founded in 1996, initially inspired by the BBC, but quickly became the flagship media arm of the #Muslim_Brotherhood.

• It employs radical commentators, including terrorists, serves as a mouthpiece for Hamas, regularly hosts Yusuf al-Qaradawi, and spreads virulent anti-Israel and anti-Western propaganda.

• Its digital platform, AJ+, has become one of the most influential online tools among young audiences ( 15 million followers) in the U.S. and Europe- under the guise of progressive content, it promotes unmistakably anti-Western narratives.

AJ+ has reportedly flouted a directive issued by the U.S. Department of Justice in September 2020, which required it to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) due to its dissemination of anti-American, anti-West, and anti-Israel propaganda.

The platform consistently features stories that accuse Western societies of systemic injustice and discrimination, aiming to make Islamist points of view acceptable to its audience, which essentially comprises millennials and younger individuals without a Muslim background.

United States

In a document leaked in 1991 written by the #Muslim_Brotherhood’s North American branch it states:

“The process of settlement is a ‘grand jihad’ in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”

The Brotherhood’s activity in the U.S. is closely associated with several organizations, the most prominent of which is CAIR – the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Founded in 1994, @CAIRNational is a nonprofit organization with its national headquarters in Washington, D.C., and 32 regional chapters across more than 20 states. Its current executive director is Nihad Awad (@NihadAwad).

Here is Awad, publicly expressing support for the October 7th massacre by Hamas:

“The people of Gaza only decided to break the siege, the walls of the concentration camp, on October 7.
And yes, I was happy to see people breaking the siege…”

In 2014, the United Arab Emirates officially designated CAIR as a terrorist organization due to its ties with the Muslim Brotherhood.
