🚨 BREAKING: Trump’s State Department just cut 3,000 MORE employees!
Promises made, promises kept.
And after a major Supreme Court victory, Secretary Rubio is purging the bureaucracy—and dismantling the Deep State piece by piece. 🧵
2/ The State Department confirmed on July 11 it’s firing nearly 3,000 staff in a historic reorganization.
🔻 1,107 civil service jobs
🔻 246 foreign service jobs
🔻 Hundreds more taking voluntary buyouts
This is the biggest shakeup in decades. And that's saying something!
3/ Staff received pink slips Thursday.
Some were told their positions were “abolished.”
Civil servants have 60 days.
Foreign service officers? 120 days’ paid leave—then gone.
Access to headquarters: revoked by 5 p.m.
Trump isn’t playing.
4/ The cuts follow a near-unanimous Supreme Court ruling upholding Trump’s power to terminate federal employees.
The ruling crushed a lawsuit that tried to block the move. Now it’s open season on bloated agencies.
“The law was on our side,” the Dept said.
5/ Rubio’s office says “care has been taken not to compromise core diplomatic functions.”
Translation:
🇺🇸 Passport services – safe
🇺🇸 Security – safe
🇺🇸 Global desks – staffed
But the deadwood is gone, or going.
6/ This is part of Trump's DOGE plans.
🔹 USAID? Dismantled.
🔹 Department of Education? Gutted.
🔹 State? Now down 15% of domestic staff.
Elon may be gone, but it’s just getting started.
7/ Bottom line?
This isn’t just a reorg.
It’s a message.
Trump’s taking a sledgehammer to the permanent bureaucracy—and winning in court while he does it.
The Deep State is shrinking—and it’s about time. 🔥🇺🇸
