🚨BREAKING: Corporation for Public Broadcasting announces it will shut down after Trump, Congress cut funding
The CPB—funding arm of NPR and PBS—is shutting down after Trump pulled the plug.
Yes, really. Not "reduced". Gone.
Here’s what just happened 🧵
2/ The CPB confirmed today it will begin “an orderly wind-down of operations” after Congress passed Trump’s rescissions package, cutting its funding entirely.
After nearly 60 years of taxpayer funding, the checkbook is closed.
It’s over.
3/ CPB funneled your money to:
• NPR
• PBS
• “educational programming”
• and “public discourse”
In practice?
They used your tax dollars to push left-wing propaganda, trans ideology, and race essentialism into your kids’ living rooms.
4/ This is a good use of your tax money?
🟦 PBS called pro-life laws “extreme”
🟦 NPR banned the word “illegal immigrant”
🟦 PBS promoted CRT & Drag Queen Story Hour
🟦 NPR called Hunter Biden’s laptop “a distraction”
Democrats win because they use your government against you.
5/ But slow and steady wins the race.
In 2018, Trump proposed zeroing out CPB funding. Democrats blocked it.
In 2020, he tried again. No dice.
But now in 2025, Trump finally ended the gravy train.
NPR and PBS are on their own.
6/ This was never about “public service.”
CPB handed tax $$$ to partisan mouthpieces who smeared conservatives, interfered in elections, and called that “news.”
And for what? Virtually everyone has broadcast TV, cable, or the internet. With vastly more choices.
It was Pravda.
7/ The left is already mourning.
But ask yourself: why should a government that’s $36 trillion in debt be subsidizing anti-American media?
Trump didn’t just cut a bloated agency.
He delivered a death blow to the state propaganda machine.
8/ This is what winning looks like.
✅ Defund the Left
✅ Shrink the bureaucracy
✅ End taxpayer-funded propaganda
✅ Restore accountability
Trump didn’t just talk. He did it.
And it’s just the beginning.
