As soon as Modiji took full control over state in 2005 Gujarat Board introduced a new social sciences textbook - Class IX glorified Nazism while erasing the Holocaust.

The textbook hailed Hitler as a patriotic soldier who led ‘revenge for Versailles’ & described Nazism as “co-ordination of nationalism and socialism.”
Chapter one titled 'Present Currents of World History' claimed “Hitler led Germans towards ardent nationalism.” 🧵3/7
It said: 'The Nazi soldiers were wearing blue dress and were adorning the symbol of "SWASTIK". They considered Hitler as their "FUHRER".'
However, the Govt withdrew these editions after a visit to Gujarat by the consul general of Israel in India. But there was another book. 4/7
A social science textbook for Class X had uncritical chapters on 'Hitl€r the $upremo' and 'Internal achievement of N@zism'.
But Hitler's pog®oms against Jews, labourers, unionists or any brutality incl Holocaust did not find a place.

The same Textbook said Musolini the leader of National Fascist Party 'established a strong, stable govt in Italy. He made Italy prosperous and powerful'.
The book didn't mentioned the 7K political killings in Musolini's regime & or over 1 million deaths due to all his wars. 6/7
Both Nazi Germany & Fascist Italy were praised not only for their strong Nationalism but also for the economic growth crediting its authoritarian rule.
