The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he does not exist
Demons are real. The Church has always taught this.
And if you are not aware of their existence & playbook you already lost the war for your soul
What the Church teaches about demons - a 🧵✝️
Who are the demons? Well, simply put, they are fallen angels.
Created good by God, they rebelled against Him in pride. Led by Lucifer, they cried: “Non serviam!” – “I will not serve!”
Cast out of Heaven, they now roam the world, seeking the ruin of souls.
Scripture is clear: demons are real, not a metaphor.
– Jesus was tempted by Satan (Mt 4)
– He cast out demons constantly (Mk 1,34)
– He gave His apostles power to exorcise them (Lk 10,17)
– St. Paul warns of “principalities and powers” (Eph 6,12)
And they want you to lose your soul.
Each one of them as angelic being before their rebellion had an assigned task they were to accept before they were given the beatific vision.
Lucifer, for example, according to Fr Chad Ripperger, was to enligthen our Lady's mind for her to be even more perfect, more charitable, more sacrificial.
He was then to do this in the minds of all men.
He rejected this task especifically because he envied the beauty our Lady would achieve by being a perfect mirror for God's virtues.
So now he roams the world doing the exact oppposite of his assigned task.
The Saints battled demons.
– St. Anthony the Great was beaten by demons in the desert.
– St. Padre Pio was physically attacked in his cell.
– St. John Vianney was harassed nightly.
– St. Teresa of Ávila saw them and drove them away with holy water.
They fought, and won, by the power of Christ.
Why is this you ask? Well because demons are used by God as the instruments of our sanctification.
They are BOUND to obey God. So God uses them to test us, perfect us and help us EARN heaven.
They are TOOLS used to sanctify us if we choose to battle AGAINST them.
Demons hate you. Make no mistake about that.
You’re made in the image of God. Christ died for you, not for them. You’ll enter the Heaven they lost.
They envy. They hate. And they want your destruction. And until your dying breath they will try their best to damn you.
Their tactics are subtle. And they are cunning enemies.
They rarely show themselves. They prefer lies, temptation, confusion, pride.
They whisper:
– “Do what thou wilt.”
– “You don’t need the Church.”
– “God will forgive everything. Stay as you are.”
You must fight this.
The good news is that you aren't fighting alone. The entire Triumphant Church is with you.
Demons tremble before the name of Jesus. They hate the Holy Eucharist. They hate frequent Confession. They hate our Lady. They hate sacramentals.
Live in a state of grace, and they cannot touch you. Unless to further sanctify you.
In the end, they always lose.
You need to be living in a state of habitual grace. The world needs saints.
Pray daily, go to confession regularly, receive the eucharist with piety, fast and offer sacrifices.
Do not be passive. Fight. Christ is with you. The entire court of Heaven if with you.
The devil is real.
But he is a defeated enemy.
Stay close to Christ, the Church, and Our Lady and you will overcome all of his tricks
