🚨 THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT ISN’T ABOUT VOTING RIGHTS ANYMORE
60 years after the Voting Rights Act was passed to end segregation, Democrats are using it to enforce unconstitutional racial gerrymandering that locks in their power.
The Supreme Court may be about to stop it. 👇🧵
2/ Louisiana v. Callais could be the biggest case on gerrymandering in decades.
At stake: whether federal courts can force states to create “majority-black” districts — which just happen to be safe Democrat seats.
3/ The scam works like this:
⚠️ Claim it’s about minority “representation”
⚠️ Use race as the excuse to redraw maps
⚠️ Guarantee Democrat wins in those districts
America elected Obama. We don't need racial gerrymandering to elect minorities.
But Democrats need it.
4/ If this were really about racial representation, Democrats wouldn’t have:
Steve Cohen (white) repping a majority-black district
Rashida Tlaib & Shri Thanedar (neither black) repping majority-black districts
It’s not about race. It’s about party control.
5/ The VRA has been twisted into a tool for permanent incumbency.
In places like Texas, CBC members hold seats for decades, often doing little for their constituents — but delivering reliable votes for the party.
