🧵- The person who fed Luffy on Egghead wasn’t Kizaru. It was Van Augur. And Catarina Devon probably touched Luffy there to transform into him later #ONEPIECE

First let’s start with why Van Augur would do it -

• Kizaru is on the island & an entire Buster Call is taking place

• If Luffy gets captured, it will be easier for them to get spotted because…with no Luffy, there’s no one strong enough to distract Kizaru, Saturn & the Navy

• Van Augur & Catarina Devon getting spotted would jeopardise whatever plan/mission Blackbeard set out for the two of them to complete in Egghead

• So best case scenario for them was to let Luffy cause chaos as a distraction so they can go about their business

All Van Augur would’ve had to do was:

• Warp beside Luffy, drop the food then warp out

• Then warp back in after Kuma’s distraction and warp Luffy to the food machine

Boom—no travel path, no witnesses & this would allow Catarina Devon to touch Luffy

Why this fits Blackbeard’s style:

They use chaos others make. Egghead’s already a mess (Buster Call, Saturn, Kizaru).
Feed Luffy → giant distraction → they move freely while everyone stares at Nika

They did the same “ride Luffy’s chaos” play at Impel Down

Speed talk: Warp vs. Light

For getting from A→B, warping beats light-speed because there’s no “travel,” you just appear

So the person who gave Luffy the food didn’t need to be “faster than light,” just instant for two seconds

The Marines here say Luffy “disappeared”

That wording lines up with some sort of teleportation: you lose the target with no movement trail

Oda quite clearly kept the action off-panel which would make it perfect for a small reveal later

If Devon touched Luffy when he was warped to the food machine this could lead to a major incident occurring in either:
•Fishman Island (Poseidon)
•Wano (Pluton)
This can play into something huge later on

Why it’s probably NOT Kizaru (1):
His whole thing was “follow orders but conflicted with friends.”

Secretly powering up the enemy goes past “mercy” and straight into helping the chaos grow, it’s a huge risk factor

It also makes this panel seem less impactful

Why it’s probably NOT Kizaru (2):

He would’ve had to:
• Get up and get the food
• Go back and place it next to Luffy
• Go back to where he was before
• Get back up again and carry Luffy to the food machine

There’s no way Saturn, Sanji etc..wouldn’t have noticed all that -

-So simply dropping the food next to Luffy & then making him “disappear” is way cleaner for a dedicated teleporter who can pop in/out unseen - without having to do any travelling

Cuz with the travelling Kizaru had to do it’s not possible to go completely unnoticed by Haki users

Regarding the SBS:

Oda says whoever gave Luffy the food did it at the “speed of light”

To me, that’s misdirection, he wants you to think it’s Kizaru so you look the other way

SBS answers are just mostly fun interactions with fans for Oda, we can’t always look at them as canon

If you’re wondering why Oda would hide that it’s Augur who fed him…it’s cuz it would make for a better reveal later when we see what they were scheming behind the scenes

It can just be a one-panel flashback and everyone’ll go “ohhh.”

He’s done delayed reveals like this before

Regarding Kizaru’s bowl:

There is no proof of the bowl actually being Kizaru’s same bowl

Van Augur can swipe/plant one instantly and Kizaru wasn’t the only one eating from a bowl like that…the entire Fleet of Marines had one

• Ch. 1103 - Luffy was given food off-screen

• Ch. 1104 - Marines say Luffy “disappeared”

• Ch. 1105 - Luffy is at food the machine

Teleport/Warp fits that sequence best & Devon likely touched Luffy at the food machine before the Navy arrived - leading to bigger events

If/when Oda does show who gave Luffy the food, it’ll be a tiny flashback showing everything Van Augur & Devon were scheming behind the scenes when all that chaos was going down

Until then, I’m confident the person who did it was Van Augur and not Kizaru

It’s a lot more logical
