The interview series "The Future of Jihad in Levant (Part 2)" with Ustādh Abū Usāmah ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Ḥallāq is published in the 5th and 6th issues of "Nawa-i-Ghazwa-e-Hind" magazine's 2025 edition.

🧵 ADVICE TO SYRIAN REVOLUTIONARIES AND RULERS

In 1st episode of the interview series (published in the 5th issue), Ustādh Abū Usāmah praised the "Deterrence of Aggression" operation as a legitimate jihad against an "oppressive, disbelieving regime" (referring to the Ba'athist Assad regime).

(1/16)

Ustādh Abū Usāmah stated that the enemies of Islām consider the success of the Jihād in Syria as an "existential threat to the international order".

He also asserted that the (complete) success of this Jihād will be inspired by the Base.

(2/16)

Ustādh Abū Usāmah stated that the Mujāhideen youth, Islamic scholars, preachers, Islamists, etc. have various duties at the present stage.

These include: i) engaging in Sunnī da'wa efforts in a responsible manner,

(3/16)

ii) "working to build a Qur’ānic society capable of enduring the hardships and trials of a jihadi life, similar to the society of Gaza."

(4/16)

iii) "Focusing on the spiritual and military training of the Syrian populace in general and the new Syrian army in particular. This stage involves da‘wah, preparation, education, as well as military, faith-based, and jihadi construction."

(5/16)

iv) Preparing the state to strengthen in agriculture and the economy so that it can have an honourable and independent future

(6/16)

v) Long-term efforts to retaliate against the oppressive international order and gradually weaken the UN. Efforts should aim to liberate Bilād al-Shām in particular and the Muslim Ummah in general from all external occupiers and local tyrannical rulers.

(7/16)

Ustādh Abū Usāmah then emphasized 3 important points of advice based on the stances of former al-Qaeda leaders.

(8/16)

First Advice:

Young Mujahideen should show patience, reflection, and gentleness in interacting with the new leadership in Syria.

(9/16)

Second Advice:

"The Base encourages the youth to take advantage of this historic opportunity to promote the religion of Allāh, spread the call to Tawḥīd and jihād, and participate in state institutions to serve the country’s development and the welfare of its people."

(10/16)

Third Advice:

Young Mujahideen should gain a "proper understanding of the current stage" and "recognize the duties, obligations, and recommended actions required at this stage..." "Today, what has been achieved in Syria is a partial victory and freedom.."

(11/16)

He then adviced the youth to read the last statement issued by Usāmah bin Lādin at the start of the Arab Spring and research the statements of ʿAṭiyyat Allāh al-Lībī, Abū Yaḥyā al-Lībī, Ibrāhīm al-Rubaysh and Shaykh al-Bulaydī.

(12/16)

The Ustādh then elaborated about the dangers of America's Zionist-Crusader project and RAND agendas in Syria.

(13/16)

Ustādh Abū Usāmah also expressed concern that the leadership in Syria has fallen prey to extremely deviant ideas.

He then concludes the first episode of this interview series with a naṣīḥah to the new Syrian rulers.

(14/16)

Ustādh Abū Usāmah advised Syrian rulers to link the “Radd al-‘Udwān” and “Ṭūfān al-Aqṣā” wings via an alliance with Islamist Palestinian resistance groups, support Sunnī Muslims in Lebanon, aid Katāʾib al-Qassām in Lebanon and Gaza, and form a Sunnī resistance front.

(15/16)

In the 2nd episode of this interview series, (published in the sixth issue of "Nawa-i-Ghazwa-e-Hind" magazine) Ustādh Abū Usāmah focused on criticizing the corrupt and deviant policies of the new Syrian rulers.

I shall summarize that episode next.
