Tom Alter is a faculty member at Texas State University and a member of the Texas State Employees Union.
On September 7, Tom called for the overthrow of the "bloodthirsty" US Government.

The Revolutionary Socialism Conference took place virtually on September 6-7, bringing revolutionary communists from all over the country together to discuss their plans.
It was sponsored by the Firebrand Collective, Socialist Horizon and the International Socialist League.
There are some other interesting clips from the conference. For instance, Tom says that capitalism created Trump, and then he makes fun of Trump supporters for not knowing who real communists are.
Tom (and many revolutionary socialists) are extremely critical of the Democratic Socialists of America, calling it a failed project and the Democrats are a capitalist party.
Revolutionary socialists generally reject working in elections as a futile tactic.
He also criticized the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) for abusing their members.
He explicitly says they do not support China or Maoism, as it's a "top-down" approach they don't support.
Most leftist groups do not want to work with the PSL.
