What is the Jeff Epstein, Sam Altman connection?
Before Altman was busy dropping out of college and failing at social media companies, Epstein was hosting AI summits with the world’s leading technologists.
In 2002 Epstein's hosted an AI event on his private island in the Virgin Islands, including bright minds in the AI field, such as luminaries like Marvin Minsky, Pushpinder Singh, Doug Lenat and Roger Schank.
It was the St. Thomas Common Sense Symposium," aimed to bring together leading minds in AI to explore the future of human-like intelligence.
Scientists such as MIT’s Minsky, often referred to as one of the fathers of AI, co-founded the MIT Artificial Intelligence Project in 1959 and developed significant theories such as the "Society of Mind," where he posited that intelligence emerges from the interactions of simple agents.
Altman would go on to use the tech Minsky built!
How did Sam Altman profit from Epstein’s network?
Sam got funding from Epstein associate Reid Hoffman, a billionaire entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and co-founder of LinkedIn. Reid was a close friend and business associate of Jeffrey Epstein, and has been accused of facilitating Epstein’s sexual abuse of minors.
Initially it was funded by Peter Thiel and Elon Musk, both quite familiar with Epstein!
Why did Sam Altman get fired from his own company?
Various reasons, particularly conflict of interest. OpenAI bought $51 million worth of brain chips from Altman’s other company Rain NeuroMorphics. These chips mimic brain activity and serves companies using AI algos. Although Altman claims no equity in OpenAI, he brokered this deal without properly disclosing it to his board. Funded by Andreessen Horowitz and Khosla Ventures in 2022, Worldcoin aims to scan the irises of everyone on earth in order to launch a worldwide identification system in exchange for its tokens, which it envisions to become a global digital currency distributed to everyone in the world in a fair and equitable manner.
In other words it’s a platform for universal basic income to compensate the unemployed, conditionally of course, once AI and automation replaces about 90% of jobs.
