In 2022, they revealed their ideological capture by briefly changing their own definition of "racism" to an academic-lounge formula of "prejudice plus power." This is pure critical race theory, designed to exempt certain groups from scrutiny. They only backtracked after massive public backlash. The mask had slipped.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking. The ADL will write thousand-word denunciations of a conservative for a clumsy tweet, yet offer milquetoast "consultation" to Leftists like Rep. Ilhan Omar after she spouts centuries-old antisemitic tropes. Their outrage is a dial, not a principle.

This isn't an accident; it's a strategy. By giving cover to antisemitism on the Left, they protect their political allies. By manufacturing hysteria over the Right, they attack their political enemies. They are not fighting antisemitism; they are curating it for partisan gain.

The ADL's primary function today is to generate hit lists. They create reports and dossiers labeling conservative thinkers, politicians, and media figures as "hateful" or "extremist," providing the intellectual ammunition for Big Tech to deplatform, demonetize, and silence them.

They are the official "brains" of the censorship operation. Their partnerships with Google/YouTube, and Meta are not about safety; they are about control. The ADL acts as an outsourced Ministry of Truth, telling Silicon Valley oligarchs who is acceptable to hear and who must be erased.

This obsession leads to absurdity. This is the organization that declared the "OK" hand gesture a hate symbol and helped turn a cartoon frog into a signifier of Nazism. This isn't serious analysis; it's a manufactured moral panic designed to smear their opponents as evil.

Pay attention to their annual "hate crime" statistics. They are not objective data; they are marketing materials. Each report is a fundraising appeal, a justification for their own bloated bureaucracy, and a demand for more power to police your speech.

The ADL's ideological blindness is most clear in its alliance with other left-wing groups. They offered praise and partnership to factions of the BLM movement, even as its charter and key activists were trafficking in virulently anti-Israel and antisemitic rhetoric.
