This has created a huge demand for new private prisons. 8 major banks have stopped working with the private prison industry. But @CitizensBank provided hundreds of millions in financing to the industry.
5. In September 2024, @ATT inked a 10-year, $147 million contract with ICE’s parent agency, DHS, to “provide mission-critical communications services.” In August, the Trump administration awarded AT&T an $11 million no-bid contract to provide ICE with “data analytics and support services.”
