February is a such a relief from long drawn out January , it feels fresh, lighter, and full of hope as days get longer.

It feels like a fresh start.

This months mentor is exactly that .
A fresh start and a reboot .

It was brought to my attention that there’s a lot of observers of 365 but there’s a fear of joining in.

There’s no gatekeeping here, but there’s always intention.

This month’s mentor gives us a reset. Back to basics .

This also may cause discomfort as the challenge is a complete slow down and a change from everything we know so far .

I’d like to use the opportunity to slow you all down as if it’s the first time you’ve taken a photograph.

Part of the ethos of the 365project is finding new ways to see the mundane and ordinary as a way of storytelling. This month we strip that right back.

This part is going to terrify you , but I promise it’s all part of seeing with more intention and attention. Training your eye to see without fancy edits ( you can do that much better once this is mastered)

We won’t be editing this month .

I know.. terrifying right?!

But.. hear me out , it’s going to help you take more notice .

Before you all run away , give this a try. Just with this mentor , then see how it enhances your work . It’s an exercise in paying attention without gimmicks .

Are you ready ? Are you brave enough?

This month we will strip everything back , tell our stories in a new way, a way to free you . It’s slowing down , it’s taking away pressure, it’s removing comparison.

We will photograph with simplicity almost as a meditative practice.

This month our mentor is Stephen Shore #Gallery365in2026FebShore

Remember it’s a month of trying new things . It’s running alongside what you already do. I’m not trying to change the way anyone photographs, I’m just introducing new ways of seeing. I believe it will help build confidence and attention .

Are you with me?
