Illegal gold is destroying the Amazon… and our right to know 🌳

In Madre de Dios department, southeastern Peru, illegal gold mining is ravaging one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth.

🔴 In the region called La Pampa, the criminal group Guardianes de la Trocha controls most of the illegal gold production and spreads terror: extortion, forced disappearances and a code of silence. Meanwhile the forest and our right to know pay the highest price.
