STOP PAYING APPLE FOR EXTRA ICLOUD STORAGE
You don't need to. I freed up 16GB in one afternoon without spending a dime.
Follow these 8 steps to clear icloud space fast:
1. Identify Storage Hogs
Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage and see what's eating up the most space across Photos, Backups, Mail, and Apps.
2. Remove Old iPhone Backups
In Manage Storage → Backups, delete old device backups from phones you no longer own. Keep only your current device.
3. Enable Photo Optimization
Settings → Photos → turn on Optimize iPhone Storage. This keeps full-resolution photos in iCloud and smaller versions on your device, freeing up space.
4. Delete Duplicate and Blurry Photos
Go through Recently Deleted, Duplicates, and remove screenshots, blurry images, and unnecessary Live Photos.
5. Clear iCloud Mail Attachments
In Mail on iPhone, search has:attachment and delete emails with large files. Empty the Trash folder to remove them permanently.
6. Delete Unused App Data
Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage → tap each app and clear data from apps you no longer use like old games or messaging apps.
7. Disable Auto-Backup for Large Apps
Settings → iCloud → iCloud Backup → turn off backup for apps that don't need it, like music apps, games, or apps you can re-download.
8. Clear iCloud Drive Files
Open Files app → iCloud Drive → sort by size and delete old documents, downloads, and files you don't need or have backed up elsewhere. If you found this helpful why haven't you followed us yet?
