Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a strong believer in Affirmative Action for thee but not for me when it came to hiring her law clerks. She needed the best to outsmart Scalia.

So, she hired one black clerk, Paul Watford, out of her 159 clerks.

1 out of 159.

Should Supreme Court justices be as ruthlessly meritocratic and colorblind in hiring law clerks as Ruth Bader Ginsburg was, or should African-Americans be handed by quota, say, 5% representation in such an influential job?

This important question is seldom debated in the press because the thoroughly documented size of the racial gap at the far right edge of the intelligence bell curve is so so large, yet so unknown, that any expert who mentions the data sounds to normies like an insane racist.

Hence, the Trump Administration has been rolling over DEI/affirmative action programs with little political resistance so far because almost nobody knows anymore how little African-Americans can compete in high IQ jobs without race quotas.

That's discredited pseudoscience!!!

I've never seen a survey of this important questions, but my strong impression is that generally well-informed Americans assume that if there is currently a 10% black quota in an elite institution or job, then under meritocracy, black representation would drop to, say, 8%.

The fact that in a lot of the most important roles, that without a 10% black racial quota, black representation would plummet to 1% to 3% sounds to vast numbers of people, whether left, center, or right, like racist pseudoscience discredited by The Science.

The basic statistical facts about racial differences in IQ have been hidden from the public to prevent whites from getting rid of affirmative action because the gaps are so large. But now whites are getting rid of quotas because they assume that the race gaps in IQ are so small.

Do we want Asians radically over-represented in America's most influential institutions and careers while Foundational Black Americans (i.e., legacy blacks) are radically under-represented because Asian newcomers tend to have much higher IQs than black oldtimers?

Asian vs. black representation is a major question for the future of America, but one that the prestige press has almost 100% punted on the ludicrous grounds that the vastly well-documented findings of psychometrics are somehow pseudoscience ... for reasons.

"Paul Watford was a law clerk for Judge Alex Kozinski (9th Circuit, 1994-95), and for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1995-96. He is the only African American clerk Ginsburg hired during her 27-year tenure at the Supreme Court."
