Finnish study just proved (again) what we (and other doctors around the world) have been saying for years: "gender affirming care" on minors does NOT resolve psychiatric needs!
The numbers are brutal!

2/6 Before referral: 45.7% of gender-referred kids already needed specialist-level psychiatric treatment versus just 15.0% of the control group.
2 or more years AFTER referral: that number ballooned for youth who transitioned. 61.7% still needed help vs 14.6% of control group.
3/6 The post-2010 surge cohort was even worse!
47.9% before vs 61.3% after GAC referrals.
For those who actually received medical "gender reassignment," psychiatric problems exploded:
MTF: 9.8% increased to 60.7% (male to female)
FTM: 21.6% increased to 54.5% (female to male)
4/6 Even after adjusting for prior psychiatric history, every gender-referred adolescent still had roughly 3 to 5 times the risk compared to the control group.
We already knew this from:
-Hisle-Gorman US register study
-Swedish and Dutch long-term data,
-Cass Review,
-NIH Review,
-HHS review, and multiple other papers.
Gender affirming care is a SCAM! It does not treat the severe mental illness. It medicalizes children and makes their outcomes far worse!
