The meeting has been called into order at 9:00 a.m. promptly and the pledge of allegiance and roll call has been completed.
The first speakers today are presenting the “May in Motion” Campaign, an initiative that promotes active living for all residents in the city.

The presentation has ended, and the speakers have turned follow-up questions to the Commissioners.
The Commissioners had no questions about the presentation from the speakers and praised them for their work.
General Superintendent and CEO Carlos Ramirez-Rosa is introducing Chicago Grows Together, an equitable infrastructure improvement program bringing investment to neighborhood parks.
This is the flyer given out at today’s meeting giving more details about Chicago Grows Together.
The meeting has now gone onto the public comment period. The first two speakers for today’s public comment session are speaking on the behalf of Chicago Harbors about issues with wages workers are receiving for their work.
The third speaker for today’s public comment session speaks about how the Chicago Park District has failed to provide details on how they plan to keep Douglass Park safe and calls on help from the Board of Commissioners to talk about health and safety there.
The fourth speaker for today’s public comment session is up and is a representative and resident of Washington Park who inquires about the running track in the park and a notice that was issued by the district, specifically the naming of a playground that refers to Woodlawn instead of Washington Park.
