I guess it's not exactly out of character for our fake commander of the fake legion. One wonders when Ukrainian authorities will stop ignoring the reports about them they have been receiving for years and actually apply the laws to this character and his little mafia.
At least, unlike the monument on the AI-generated picture that GL misleadingly posted 6 months ago, this stele has a physical existence. In fact, the square itself is not anywhere to be found, depite the announcement.
Forgive me for not being optimistic when I see this. Hudson Institute has been instrumental in promoting Mamulashvili and his fictional "Legion".
This is particularly the case with their Luke Coffey, ex-Heritage Foundation. Yes, the same that wrote Project 2025.
While Hudson Institute stopped since the 2024 scandal, Luke Coffey has been sharing GL's announcements up to last month. Last year, he gloated about the "Twitter morons who claimed the Georgian Legion did not exist", mere months after GUR's statement made that fact crystal clear.
How many more years will defenders, volunteers and honest members of the pro-🇺🇦 community have to face harassment, slander and mass reporting of their posts before the law is enforced?
GL and its backers must not delude themselves, Ukraine's partners are not blind to any of this.
