Why are we targeting low hanging fruit ?!?

When will the DOJ, IRS, and House/Senate Ethics Committees announce indictments of Capitol Hill officials involved in secret offshore banking?

1/9

Multiple reports have highlighted lawmakers with offshore accounts, shell companies, and foreign money-laundering ties—including the Henry Cuellar indictment and allegations surrounding Dan Goldman’s Cayman Islands funds.

Yet no broad crackdown on Capitol Hill’s offshore banking has followed.

U.S. taxpayers deserve transparency. Will there be accountability for lawmakers hiding wealth offshore, or will this remain a loophole for the powerful?

If lawmakers refuse to address secret offshore banking by Capitol Hill officials, then LE agencies will.

How does that help Capitol Hill lawmakers tanking approval?

5/9

Let’s be clear:

• Offshore banking isn’t illegal on its face.

• Secret offshore banking, undisclosed accounts, and tax evasion absolutely are.

• If Congress won’t enforce its own rules or investigate its own members, the DOJ, IRS-CI, and federal prosecutors will.

6/9

That’s not a win for lawmakers.

It’s a public spectacle: indictments, hearings, headlines, and voters seeing their representatives as part of the problem, not the fix.

With approval ratings already in the low 20s, this is a self-inflicted wound:

7/9

• Every day Congress delays, the public assumes corruption.

• Every offshore case by LE agencies becomes a confidence bomb for the entire institution.

• Every “they’re protecting themselves” narrative pushes approval even lower.

8/9

The obvious question:

Why would lawmakers choose to let LE agencies control the narrative instead of cleaning this up themselves?

The answer shouldn’t be “because they’re afraid of the truth.”
