A YouTuber just did what $60 billion in funding could not stop.
PewDiePie basically built a free ChatGPT and Claude that runs on your own computer, answers to no company, and never sends a word to anyone.
He handed it to 100 million people. You can be one of them. Here is how:
It is called Odysseus.
A private AI that lives on your laptop. Chat, research, your own documents, all running offline. Nothing you type ever leaves your machine.
Everything ChatGPT does, with no subscription and nobody reading along.
How to actually get it.
1. Install Ollama, the free engine that runs AI models on your computer: ollama.com
2. Get the Odysseus app from GitHub: github.com/pewdiepie-arch…
3. Point Odysseus at Ollama, pick a model, and your private AI is live.
Once it is running, hand it the medical results, contracts, or bank statements you would never paste into ChatGPT.
Ask it to summarize, find, or explain anything in them. It answers from your files, and none of it touches the internet.
It is not a five-minute job.
You need a decent computer with a real graphics card and some patience to set it up. The autonomous mode also has security gaps, so keep it away from anything sensitive until you know it well.
For two years AI only moved one way. More cloud, more monthly fees, your data on their servers.
PewDiePie just proved you can own your AI outright and handed the plans to 100 million people.
His words: the war on big tech has just begun. Save this and try it.
