Our next investigation is out. We worked with @investigatewest to expose an individual that makes over $50k a year from being a pro-Russian "Team War Kriminal" commentator during his workday, while collecting a taxpayer funded salary as a US State employee
investigatewest.org/idaho-labor-ec…
Idaho Department of Labour (@IdahoLabor) Economist Sam Wolkenhauer has appeared on the Russians With Attitude Podcast, wrote for Raw Egg Nationalist & the "dissident right" publication IM-1776, & posted 17.4k times since March 2022 under the handle @witte_sergei Aka "Big Serge".
Luckily for us, we don't have to argue the proof on this one because Sam outed himself on his Substack a few days after @investigatewest made contact during the final stages of our investigation. Thanks for making it easy for the @idaholabor 'HR Lady Tyranny', we guess?
Sam once claimed that he had no social media presence at all. But our analysis shows that Sam has been incredibly prolific during the @Idaholabor 9-5 working day. We presume he has been keeping it from his 'normie friends and family', the same as he has with his political views.
After Sam was contacted, he immediately set about purging his account. We watched as he deleted thousands of tweets - 5k tweets to date, nearly 1/3rd of his total output. To make matters worse for Sam, his attempted coverup was done during @IdahoLabor work hours too.
In his response to @investigatewest, Sam said that he "scrubbed some tweets" to avoid being misconstrued, & that his Twitter was infact a heavily sarcastic mocking of the same communities now defending him. Who among us hasn't had to delete 5k tweets to avoid being misconstrued?
Sam also argued in his response that he's just an amateur historian who naturally touches on war as a subject. We imagine he thought he was being very clever getting ahead of the story, but here are some examples of the kinds of thing he cleaned up:
@IdahoLabor
Despite his claims of innocence, while @IdahoLabor were paying him to analyse the labour market, Sam was busy shitposting as a member of "Team War Kriminal", talking about "Total Hohol Death" & using phrases like "Khokholdomor".
He also told @investigatewest that we'd not be able to find him use a single slur on his account. Presumably because he thought he'd deleted them all.
You've seen the THD stuff already, but Sam is also deeply homophobic and transphobic - we wonder if these count @IdahoLabor?
What was obvious to us from analysing hundreds of his posts - Sam tried to keep up a veneer of respectability, & likes to hide behind "WW2 historian". But even his own "Team War Kriminal" community members teased him over mask slips because his real views kept slipping out:
Perhaps the Trad-Orthodox family man act never slipped quite so much as when Sam was thirsting over Red Scare podcast host Daria Nekrasova. What exactly was it about that background that Sam liked?
He is, by the way, married. He even has some outfits he'd like his wife to wear.
Ironically, despite Sam's hypermasculine online persona & misogynistic rants, his wife - who's salary is also on the public record - appears to be the main breadwinner.
Like the manosphere that Sam inhabits, he seems driven by deep-rooted insecurity masquerading as strength.
Of course Sam's views don't stop with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He echoes accelerationist viewpoints, describes a white supremacist publisher as his 'good friends', and concurs with openly white supremacist views @IdahoLabor
Naturally we'd expect those who erroneously believe that the US taxpayer is funding Nazis in Ukraine to take great interest in this story, as the US taxpayer has been inadvertently subsidising Sam's production of neo-Nazi content in their own back yard.
Our deepest thanks go to @investigatewest for the sterling job taking our OSINT work and turning it into the finished article.
