We placed an online order yesterday that included two Choco Lava cakes with the pizzas. As usual got a call from the nearby store for order confirmation and was told that the cake isn't available. (1/5)
I questioned why the website let me place the order in the first place if something wasn't available. The manager said he was helpless about that but since we had already paid, he said he would get it delivered next day or whenever we wanted it in the coming days. (2/5)
He added that right now we could add a complimentary side dish to our order since it is not our fault. We got a pasta. But I had my doubts if they would actually deliver the cake the next day since he wasn't willing to give any written validation for it. (3/5)
He gave his personal mobile number and asked to call on it whenever we wanted it to be delivered. We called him up tonight and soon enough, the cakes were delivered. No questions asked. Thank you @dominos_india #Sambalpur for the prompt and good customer service. (4/5)
But I do wish that you have a system in place under which one can't place an order for a particular item in case it is not available at the chosen nearby outlet. It would just make things simpler. (5/5)
