I am very excited to announce that the 2018 ASMR Medallist is acclaimed scientist, author and science advocate, Professor Hope Jahren @HopeJahren. Prof Jahren will tour Australia between May 31st - June 8th, speaking at gala dinners around the country

Prof Jahren's research is crossing disciplinary boundaries, investigating how stable isotopes can inform us about metabolism and the environment, both in the human environment and through geologic time.

Prof Jahren has been recognised by Popular Science magazine in 2006 as one of its "Brilliant 10" scientists, has received 3 Fulbright awards, and in 2016, was named one of Time Magazine's world's "Top 100 Most Influential People" amongst many other distinguished scientific awards

She is the author of the critically acclaimed "Lab Girl", and was the instigator of #ManicureMonday, encouraging female scientists to tweet photos of their hands doing science!

A passionate advocate for science, & for women in science, Prof Jahren will excite and inspire, as she travels around Australia. We look forward to welcoming you at the ASMR Gala dinners and know you will make Prof Jahren feel welcome. Full details at asmr.org.au
