THREAD: I put together a timeline for the CM Punk libel trial focusing on Punk’s health issues ahead of his departure. This comes from sworn testimony, emails, and texts.

Here are the notable points:
Punk recalls the lump first appearing in fall 2013. He says he showed it to Amann shortly thereafter.

The lump is never mentioned in texts with Amann.

@RossWBermanIV was in court when Punk said lump was on his rear at star level on tights — not back as was previously said.
November 5, 2013: Dr. Amann (L) sends e-mail to Dr. Samson (R), also on WWE medical staff, stating Punk feels nauseated and has a headache.
November 14-16, 2013: Series of emails sent between WWE medical staff where Punk is described as
fatigued, nauseated and vomiting for days.

Punk says symptoms are worse after taking bumps.
November 18, 2013: Amann says in e-mail to Dr. Samson that Punk is having symptoms of fatigue — but physically he is okay with him being physical (continuing to work).
In the days that followed through the end of November, WWE staff ordered MRI for Punk’s head and bloodwork done.

Soon after, Punk reported headaches, fatigue, lower back pain and rib contusion.

This would’ve been around 2013 Survivor Series.
December 2, 2013: Punk sends a text to Amann at 9:30pm saying, “my head is killing me. Why do I have these headaches?”

Amann responds with lengthy text explaining how they will reach a diagnosis.

Amann refers Punk to Oklahoma Diagnostic Imaging.
December 4, 2013: @WZRebel writes Punk texted Amann to say he’s “coughing like a maniac” and his ribs hurt.

Again, there’s no mention of lump in any text between Amann and Punk.
Sometime thereafter (exact date not included), these texts are exchanged between Amann and Punk:

Punk: “I swear to Christ I’m sick again, you got a Z Pak?”

Amann: “Yes, I’ve got them on me”
Punk recalls only officially being prescribed antibiotics by Amann once. Medical records confirm this.

Punk says the rest of his antibiotics from WWE docs were received in a small envelope.

He says he could get them “whenever I wanted them.”
Two days after TLC PPV (Punk vs Shield handicap match), WWE medics review meeting w/ Punk after he sustained an elbow injury. He was treated with ice and anti-inflammatory. They did not prescribe antibiotics.
January 16, 2014: Medical report indicated Punk has complained of shoulder pain since the previous Monday. Doctors indicate no specific injury.
January 26, 2014: Punk says the lump looked like a bruise at the Royal Rumble.

Punk says Amann said that day that he’d take care of the lump.

Punk recalls asking “cut this f&$@ing thing out of me,” but cannot recall Amann’s response.

This is vid WWE released of that match.
Full thread on Rumble match, concussion, and how it is was handled here:
Amann says throughout these months, Punk never showed him a skin infection, and he would have evaluated him if he had.
One day after walking out on WWE, Punk texts AJ:

“This f&$@ing lump hurts.”

“I’m going to stab it.”
In February 2014, a physician’s assistant sees lump and initially mentions it may be staph. He drains it.

PA never tested for staph and it was officially diagnosed on paperwork as a cyst.
After seeing PA and believing he could have had staph, Punk texts AJ:

“I’m going to f$&@ing email Vince and bury Dr. Amann.”

“I had a eureka moment as to why I’d felt so bad for so long.”
That ends health review thread.

My analysis: with all these medical issues and claims over 3 months, I don’t see why WWE didn’t send him home for awhile to rest and recover.

You can understand the frustration from Punk at this period of time.
Let’s hear your thoughts...
