OK.

IT IS TIME, IT IS TIME.

For me to explain why Sessions & Rosenstein have been reluctant to hand over documents to these Congressional committees chaired by Devin Nunes, Chuck Grassley & Richard Burr.

There are two things happening concurrently in the DOJ to root out the corruption inside of it *and* in our CONGRESS, where the same corruption has spread.
You've all been paying attention to the DOJ IG Horowitz and his investigations of how corrupt the Hillary Email probe was, and his looking into the FISA Court/Steele Dossier shenanigans.

That's because I & many others frequently call your attention to it.
Well there's ANOTHER thing that's been going on for over a year, and it's mostly been under the radar, even though every now and then, Sessions or Rosenstein will put the periscope and give everybody a brief glance at it.

THE LEAK INVESTIGATIONS.
I don't mean to shock all of you or anything, but our CONGRESS has just as many, if not MORE leakers of classified information than the DOJ , the IC & State Dept. does.
DOJ political partisans with security clearances are not the ONLY ones in DC playing the strategic leaking game.

We have SENATORS and HOUSE REPS who have been leaking classified information when it suits their political purposes.
You wanna know why Jeff Sessions & Rod Rosenstein haven't been all that eager to hand over documents to Congressional committees full of politically partisan leakers?

That question answers itself.
There hasn't just been an effort to spot, root out and prosecute the political partisans inside the DOJ & Intel Community & State Dept. who leak classified information for their own partisan purposes.

There's also an effort to get the members of CONGRESS who have been in on it.
So it's never been about just cleaning up the DOJ, prosecuting all the leakers and partisans who corrupted that place.

You have to ALSO root out the leakers in the Congress who've been working in concert with those people.
Well guess what Jeff Sessions & Rod Rosenstein have been doing while they've been waiting for Horowitz & his investigative team to finish their work?

They've been working on 25+ leak investigations. And now they've started to go public with it.
The perception that Sessions & Rosenstein are 'doing nothing' so Congressional committees are doing all the digging, uncovering all the facts in incorrect.

Those selfsame Congressional committees are rife with leakers who damage/distract those investigations with their leaking.
In fact, both these things were supposed to be rolled out concurrently: Horowitz's exposure of massive corruption/partisanship inside the DOJ *AND* a rolling up of the leaking networks that facilitate much of that corruption in both the DOJ & the Congress.
I'm convinced Horowitz setting an exact date for the release of his Clinton Email Report was the 'go' signal for Sessions & Rosenstein taking public the first case in rolling up the DC leaking network.
For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, James Wolfe was just a MIDDLE MAN. He was a leak broker.

If a Senator or other top dog in Congress wants something leaked, they used Wolfe as their cut out man to shop it to the media.
The FBI rolled up Wolfe LAST DECEMBER.

It's right there in the indictment, go look.

That was SIX MONTHS AGO.

He's been singing like a canary since then, and it's why he got a plea deal in which he'll likely only be charged with his perjury in his FBI interviews.
That leak hunting unit that Sessions & Rosenstein announced last August has been very, very busy.

Laying traps. And watching the suckers fall into them.

They caught Wolfe, and trust me on this, Wolfe led them right to the people on Burr's Senate Intel Committee who used him.
All throughout the past year, a term I've used often is 'strategic leaking'.

That is defined as a politically motivated leak that is carefully crafted to drive a narrative and have an expected political impact.
Horowitz has spent much of his time in the past year and a half tracking down those who play this strategic leaking game inside the DOJ. Thus far he's only publicly exposed ONE of them: Andrew McCabe.
And you can bet a section of the Clinton Email report is going to be devoted to strategic leaking.

But that's just one part of the leak culture in DC. There's also the Intel Community, the State Dept., the Congress.

Just stopping the leaks inside the DOJ won't solve the problem
So you understand: Congress *can't have* the full and open transparency on classified documents it wants from the DOJ *until* most of the worst politically motivated strategic leakers have been removed from those committees.
Wolfe is just the start. He's the tip of an iceberg.

And Sessions and Rosenstein, as they roll out more indictments for leaking in the coming weeks, will demonstrate just how bad this leaking problem was.
You will see Senators and House Reps doing perp walks.

Guaranteed.

Don't you feel any sympathy for these people.

They were warned. They kept doing it anyway.
