I’m going to use this as a thread to keep all the tweets together.
Make sure to re-tweet this and share far and wide!
Jerry Nadler is interrupting Gowdy and not even letting him start his opening statement before talking about the children on the border. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
People are disrupting the hearing yelling “families belong together” And are being escorted out by Capitol police
Cummings will do his best to deflect from the findings of the report, except to say the liberal talking point “there was no political bias”.
This man not only lives in the swamp, but rents out land in the swamp.
I’m not sure if Cummings realizes his mic is on, or if he loses the concept of volume in his voice as he’s gotten older.
He’s been yelling for a few minutes already.
Cummings going off the rails (and faking crying), saying that the US has child internment camps..
Does he remember this is a hearing about the IG Report?
..... Still yelling
Goodlatte: FBI replaced 'Obama' with senior government official, regarding someone who was emailing with HRC on her private server.
Remember, Obama said he didn't know about the emails and only learned from the news.
Jerry Nadler is asking why we are even talking about Clinton emails at all..
Completely disregarding the findings that she not only had TOP SECRET emails on her computer... But had a MAID print them out and destroyed evidenced that was rightfully subpoenaed.
I'm glad that Christopher Wray isn't there today, we should be able to cut through a lot of the watered down BS he gave to us yesterday.
Horowitz for the Win.
Horowitz: "The POLITICAL texts we found, cast a cloud over the Mid Year Investigation."
Horowitz: We DIDN'T HAVE CONFIDENCE Strzok's decision to put the Russia investigation over the Weiner Laptop situation to be FREE FROM BIAS
Gowdy: Lisa Page and Peter Strzok both expected (and wanted) Hillary Clinton to win the election, though they wouldn't have ever thought that if they had expected her to be indicted or criminally charged. This was DURING the investigation.
Gowdy: 3 days after the Russia investigation began.. Strzok said "damn this feels momentous and this was to make sure we didn't F things up, this investigation MATTERS"
Gowdy: The lead FBI agent on the Russia investigation says he will "stop Trump" from becoming President and already prejudged the outcome.
Strzok: "I wanna believe there's no way he gets elected, but we can't take that risk. We need an insurance policy."
Horowitz: "It's clear from the context that Strzok wanted to stop Trump from becoming President."
Sorry Libs, can't squirm out of that one.
Horowitz: We found 2 additional FBI agents and 1 attorney, 2/3 were working on the Trump/Russia probe, who had animus against Trump.
Strzok: "I unleashed it, now I need to fix it and finish it"
Horowitz: He believed he would use his authority to take action. And that's antithetical to the FBI core values.
Gowdy; This was only 1 day into the Russia probe and maybe that's the outcome bias.
Gowdy: If someone is prejudging the outcome of an investigation before it ends, and another before it even begins, what is more bias than that? What am I missing?
Horowitz: We are looking at that in an ongoing way in relation to Russia investigation.
Cummings is coming back on, feel free to take a quick nap, unless you leave the TV on and he wakes you up from his yelling.
I think Cummings read, and is repeating other Dem member's testimony from yesterday because he's just repeating the same things they said yesterday.. Waiting for him to mention Giuliani for the hat trick.
Horowitz not sure if he sought interviews from anyone within the Obama white house. Especially not Obama. He doesn't know if he even would've liked to have done that... HMM? Not liking that answer Mikey.
Horowitz: We are looking into if Strzok's texts of political bias influenced his decision to start the Russia Investigation.
Goodlatte: Makes a great case on why intent cannot be conflated with gross negligence.
Relates it to a drug smuggler carrying a package and not being able to use the defense that he doesn't know what's in it.
🚨 Sorry Libs
Horowitz: "WE FOUND STRZOK EXHIBITED BIAS, we found decisions that were made by OTHERS were not infected by bias, but we had concerns that his biased state of mind impacted his October decision regarding his the Weiner laptop"
Horowitz: "Almost everything we found was the other way and was anti-trump"
Regarding texts by FBI Agents involved in the Clinton email investigation, while Jerry Nadler tried to argue that there may have been agents who were anti-Clinton
Horowitz: "I can't say Strzok's anti-Trump bias didn't impact his decisions"
Regarding Pre-July but he's very concerned about October (Weiner laptop)
Horowitz: We didn't say that their words were not indicative of bias, we were very concerned with them.
ISSA: So, you found bias?
Horowitz: "There was a period of several months where the FBI wasn't collecting texts" and we went through 4 rounds of review to get those texts (paraphrasing)
Rep Norton is really struggling to not just get questions out, but to string words together.
Horowitz: Obama was one of 13 individuals who was emailing with Clinton on her unsecured email server. "I'm not certain if those emails were among the classified materials"
Horowitz: Strzok and Page's fingerprints were involved in the drafting of the exoneration of Clinton where they changed the words from 'grossly negligent' (criminally guilty) to 'extremely careless' (non legal term) and 'Obama' to 'senior government official'
Jim Jordan going on his 3rd line of questioning after being given time by two other Congressman 🙌
Jordan: We had the text of Page asking if Trump is going to be President but not the "we'll stop it" texts.
Horowitz: To us it was a technical problem
Jordan: I'm more concerned that Rosenstein didn't get it to us as quickly as he should've
Jordan: "Will you be looking at Rosensteins threats vs Congressmen"
Horowitz: "I need to understand more about it and how it might connect to this"
Jordan: Why didn't they tell the FISA court why HRC and Dems paid for Dossier
H: We'll Look into it.
Sheila Jackson Lee is interrupting Jim Jordan right now with a parliamentary inquiry calling his line of questioning "germane" ... without raising an actually parliamentary inquiry..
Plan to Break at 1pm...
Are there going to be other rounds of questioning? Or are they planning to end this at 1pm?
Rep Clay just called out Jim Jordan by name. Whereas usually they call them "my friend/colleague from X state".
Just curious, but if someone (read: almost everyone) asks the same question, as a Congressman, wouldn't you not want to keep repeating it over and over? Doesn't seem to be a productive use of time. (Democrats)
Sheila Jackson Lee for the second time tries to get Horowitz to say it was the SDNY who leaked information (to imply they gave it to Giuliani)
Horowitz: "We did not find that" and we have ongoing investigations into leaks (paraphrasing)
Rep Jeffries accuses Republicans of peddling conspiracy theories and labels them the "Coverup Caucus"... as he continues to peddle his own conspiracy theories.
But I think he thinks, like Cummings, that the louder you say something the truer it becomes.
Gianforte: *Finally Someone* Talking about the FBI Agents taking Bribes by reporters.
*Over 50+ agents with 300+ interactions*
Horowitz: "We wanted to make this public but, we have this work ongoing" 🚨🧐
Gianforte: The leaking to the media by FBI agents was widely known within the FBI
G: Knowledge of the practice was widespread
H: "The contact alone wasn't being addressed effectively"
Horowitz; If we find even CONTACTS of FBI agents with media, without proving leaks, we will refer that to the OPR.
NICE. Go Get Em.
