Men love to tell angry women that their emotion negates their intelligence, when an emotional reaction is often a result of knowing and understanding the injustice of a situation. You aren't upset because you lack the depth, and you lack the knowledge.
I had a man tell me that I should have responded to the racism directed toward me with intelligence, and not emotion, and basically that because I didn't, my entire experience was negated.

There is a LOT to unpack there, and frankly, I'm not even sure that I want to lmao.
You, as a white man, wouldn't have gotten angry in that situation because:

1) You don't experience institutional/covert/overt racism.
2) You share the same amount of power as other white men.
3) There would be no stakes for you in that situation.
I, a black woman, did get angry in that situation because:

1) I experience institutional/covert/overt racism every single day.
2) I have less power and pull in all situations than white men.
3) There are high stakes for me if I decide to call out racism.
My anger was a direct response to the knowledge I have about history, society, and complex social constructs, and how all of those things were working against me in the moment a white man decided to tell me to leave the country and go back to where I came from.
Women's anger, but ESPECIALLY black women's anger, is and always has been steeped in knowledge. My emotions are intelligent. YOU sir, are so ignorant and protected by society that you can't even get your heartbeat up when you see blatant racism. Your LACK of emotion is the issue.
In conclusion, Mr. I'm-Calm-During-Every-Single-Situation-Because-There's-No-True-Stakes-For-Me-And-I-Don't-Know-What-It-Feels-Like-To-Defend-My-Own-Humanity-So-I-Mistake-Emotional-Stuntedness-For-Intellectual-Superiority, my educated response to you is:

Fuck you.
