For a second put yourself in Steele’s shoes for a minute. He’s a British ex spy, working for free for the US State Dept and US FBI for many years. He’s then hired to research a US presidential candidate.

Put yourself in the US State Dept shoes. Nuland, Winer, whoever. Steele met with Nuland in mid July, after the FBI meeting. Her British ex spy was gathering intel on both Clinton and Trump. The FBI is now involved. Steele’s sources are about to get scrutinized.
Put yourself in Agent Gaetas shoes. His great foreign ex spy source for the *Trump Tower investigations* has collected intel on both US presidential candidates and the State Dept is involved. He tells FBI HQ, since as a foreign assistant legat he reports directly there.
Gaetas boss was Randall Coleman. International Operations was one part of his gig. He was over 5 Eyes LE Group, and was briefed on Weiners laaptop contents (IG report). He’s no longer with the FBI.

Randall Coleman might just be the One To Watch for the FBI. He was over the beginning of the Hillary email investigation, briefed on Weiners laptop, briefed on Gaetas meetings with Steele, over FBI Cyber and 5 Eyes.
