This is an extremely dishonest article by Brynn Tannehill.

None of the people or organizations named in it are connected to the events at London Pride; Brynn doesn't even try to draw a straight line between them, and for good reason. Thread 1/7

The women who took part in this act of civil disobedience were NOT "a tiny group of fading second-wave feminists who never quite got over the fact that women can be both heterosexual and feminist."

They were LESBIANS who "feel erased and betrayed."

They were LESBIANS who refuse to let heterosexual men put on dresses and colonize their spaces, who recognize homophobic misogyny when they see it.

They were LESBIANS who refuse to have sex with "lesbian penises" and see the whole "cotton ceiling concept" as rapey misogynist bullshit, which it frankly is

Those women raising a fuss at London Pride were LESBIANS, not "feminists," and they are not part of some right wing project.

Though if you bother to listen to them, these particular LESBIANS will tell you that they feel abandoned by "the left" lately.
None of their signs called for "erasing" trans people.

On the contrary, those LESBIANS at London Pride are the ones legitimately worried about erasure -- as a community, an identity, a sexuality.

I'm sure that these tweets will be answered by transactivists accusing me of "violence." Which will be weird, since the only people being violent are the men in dresses demanding to be called "lesbians."

Brynn Tannehill elides all this context.
