New study -- the Larsen C ice shelf is vulnerable to climate change, but don't expect it to unleash a lot of sea level rise if it collapses.
2. It's just not that kind of ice shelf. It doesn't hold back a lot of really deep glaciers.
3. Still, losing such a huge ice sheet would cause a massive redrawing of the Antarctic map -- not a sea level legacy, perhaps, but an indelible one nonetheless.
