We love a director

From whose point of view would you like the narration of Scene 32 to be? 8 hours to decide cause I'll be at uni the entire day today 😔

“Are you ready?” Namjoon asked, opening the door to Yoongi’s trailer. It usually wasn’t the director’s job to come and ask this, but his friend was so on edge with this whole deal between him and Jimin that since they had arrived on the filming set, he was hovering on them both.

Of course Yoongi felt bad for it, but as soon as Jimin opened his mouth, every time Yoongi heard his voice, a little irritation would surface and make it very hard to be a decent person. And funnily enough, that only made him angrier – Yoongi loved to be professional,

and he knew that he wasn’t being one when it came to Jimin.

“Yes” he responded while getting up. The makeup artist had left five minutes before. “Is he ready?”

Namjoon nodded and left the door open for him to pass.

They were in a little country house where half of the filming would take place. They would stay there for a week, and then take a little break. It wasn’t that far away from the chaos of Seoul, but far away enough for Yoongi to relax without the noise a big city provided.

“We’ll do the scene first without the cameras on” Namjoon let them know once they were all gathered at the porch. “I’ll sit over there and you two feel free to begin when you’re ready.”

The scene 32 was one of Yoongi’s favorite scenes on the script, if he had to be honest. It was a great moment of vulnerability for both of the characters, especially Jimin’s, and it was all about the emotion, since little was said.

“I hope I don’t need to remind you technical kisses don’t require the use of tongue” he found himself saying when Jimin put the script down. The blond stared at him for a few seconds and Yoongi could see in his eyes he was searching for a good comeback to his sharp comment.

When he didn't say anything, Yoongi asked: “Can we begin?”

“Of course” Jimin smiled, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “Namjoon?”

“ACTION!” the director exclaimed.

Yoongi bit his lips, approaching Jimin slowly, like he wasn’t sure this was the right choice.

As for Jimin, he was smoking a fictional cigarette, trapped between his little fingers, looking out at the night (that was actually day, still).

“I wasn’t sure if you would come” Jimin whispered, taking a fake drag.

“You want me to go?” Yoongi’s voice was raspy.

Jimin took a deep breath and… He waited too long. He was supposed to speak, and he didn’t. Yoongi waited for a few seconds, hoping it was a dramatic pause, but finally Jimin put his head on his face and murmured “I’m sorry, guys.”

Yoongi rolled his eyes and backed up a little – the scene would have to begin again.

“You want me to go?” his voice was raspy.

“There’s nothing I want less” Jimin’s voice was sad, like he was fighting something. “And there’s nothing I want more. How’s that possible?”

Yoongi licked his lips and reached out, his fingers brushing softly against Jimin’s cheek, the actor leaning into the touch so easily it felt real for a second.

“I don’t know” Yoongi responded.

Jimin tossed the cigarette out and bit his lower lip, staring so deeply into Yoongi’s eyes it would’ve hurt if it wasn’t acting. He tugged both of his hands on Yoongi’s shirt and pulled him closer, their bodies now brushing against one another.

“What do you know?” the blond whispered.

Yoongi stayed silent, because that’s what the script says. He counts until ten; he's supposed to kiss Jimin now, so he does.

The younger actor puts his plumpy lips on Yoongi’s ever so slightly and breathes out, like that’s the only thing he ever wanted to do in his life. Yoongi’s read to hold him tighter and deepen the kiss when Jimin breaks in little giggles against his mouth.

“Jimin, come on” Namjoon whines.

“I’m sorry” Jimin says, covering his mouth. “Let’s go again.”

A part of Yoongi was sure he was doing it on purpose because how is it possible that such a famous and prestigious actor can’t do a simple kissing scene without bursting into laughter a total of ten times?

They were rolling the tape for the eleventh “action” when Yoongi held Jimin’s arm and the younger man frowned at the touch. He let go because he didn’t want to make Jimin uncomfortable, but Yoongi just felt so angry!

“Can you be a fucking professional or not? This isn’t a joke, Park Jimin! Money is being washed down the toilet because you can’t kiss me without laughing.”

Jimin clicked his lips, his cheeks were a little pink.

“Kissing you is indeed a problem for me, but I’ll try my best to endure it this time. Promise.”

Yoongi had to bite his tongue not to tell the other actor to fuck off.

“Can we go?” Namjoon asked.

“Yes, we can” Jimin responded, going back to his mark.

This time, Jimin didn’t laugh.

He kissed Yoongi’s lips softly and waited for the elder to deepen the kiss, like the script said he should.

Yoongi moved his head to the side and opened his mouth, breathing heavily while doing so. Jimin’s hands ran through his hair while he pulled him closer, too close, in fact. Yoongi heard the whimper a second later, in the exact moment he held the other by the hips strongly.

“CUT!” Namjoon screamed and they broke apart immediately. Yoongi was confused, because the scene was going how it was supposed to go. “Why weren’t you using tongue? This is a passionate moments, your characters are finally giving into the burning desire. Use tongue.”

Yoongi felt his cheeks burn and he wanted to die even before he faced Jimin’s smirking expression.

“Is that so, director?” he said, all innocently. “You want tongue? Oh, that’s nice, isn’t it?”

Once again, Yoongi held his tongue and didn’t tell Jimin to fuck off. But he wanted to. He never wanted anything so badly.

He asked for a five minute break – if he had to kiss Park Jimin while this angry he would probably bite his lower lip until blood came out.

After he calmed down enough, they restarted.

This time, Yoongi didn’t hold back. If Namjoon wanted to see passion, he would see it. Yoongi was so angry he decided to pretend it was actually arousal – two very strong feelings, but ultimately very divergent ones.

He licked inside Jimin’s mouth like he never wanted anything more, and for a second he wondered if the way the younger actor trembled was a part of his acting style, adding more to the scene, or he just liked the way it felt.

They kissed for a while, and more than a few times.

When Namjoon said that they got it from all the angles necessary, Yoongi couldn’t let go of Jimin faster. They were both a mess, Jimin’s lips were swollen and his cheeks flustered. Yoongi looked away.

“Do we need to film anything else today?” he asked while a staff member put a water bottle in his hand. “It’s very dark out.”

“No” Namjoon said, his smile demonstrated satisfaction. “You both did good, it looked really believable.”

“Good. That’s what we are here for.” Jimin’s voice was so full of disdain Yoongi felt his skin shiver.

Yoongi watched the blond leave the porch and didn’t say anything. Didn’t think anything. He drank the water and went back to his trailer.

Later that night, while trying to sleep in that uncomfortable bed, Yoongi allowed himself to think. Jimin was really a brat. He had no sense of responsability, or compromise. Yes, he was a good actor. A fantastic one, at that. But at what coast?

It made him so frustrated how easily that actor could make him mad.

He had had problems on set before, but nothing like this. He never actually wanted to tell his scene partners to fuck off, like he had with Jimin so many times that day. And that worried him as an actor.

Because Park Jimin was a full on rainstorm, that was a fact, and if there’s anything Yoongi doesn’t want out of life, is to be a house of cards for people like him.
