One of the key features of self-reliance is taking responsibility for your thoughts, actions and words.

Don’t point fingers and look in the mirror.

Instead of whining and complaining about being a victim, leave the past behind and move forward in the best way you can with the situation as it is.

Stop parroting the taking points you hear on TV or from your friends.
