If you haven't been calling your Senators about Kavanaugh/#SCOTUS, now is the time to start.
We are 16 business days out from the start of confirmation hearings on 09/04.
Boosting guide again in next tweet.
Remember: the objective is to Bork Kavanaugh. It's possible, given his record-low popularity. But that involves all of us working, and contacting our Senators however we can.
Cliffnotes version: Bork had public opinion on his side, until his confirmation hearings went haywire. We should be encouraging Dem Senators to speak out like Kennedy did at Bork's hearing.
If they don't have anything in the pipeline, ask for it.
“An anti-abortion law Vice President Mike Pence signed as governor of Indiana could become the case that lets the Supreme Court reshape abortion rights as soon as next year.”
IF Kavanaugh makes it onto the court, they're going to be our last remaining firewall. Right now, it look like we're going to lose seats.
1. For Senate Judiciary members. Call if you have a member on Judiciary. judiciary.senate.gov/about/members
Grassley's put a train into motion w/ this 09/04 start date that will be hard to stop, but make sure you demand they do everything in their power to slow it down.
We're calling for a no vote, based on Kavanaugh's poor track record AND the fact judiciary is pushing forward, even w/out a thorough vetting.
(Concrete reasons are important, when calling)
The other specifically addresses the need to protect abortion and is most applicable for those trigger-law states.

Don't do that this time. Kavanaugh calls have to be a top priority.
It's easier to change minds NOW w/ a swell of overwhelming responses from constituents, verses right before a vote. By vote time or the eleventh hour, it's typically too late to sway an elected's opinion.
Please take this seriously. If you have questions, please ask.
Those senators have a tight-rope to walk. Make sure you call and push them to vote against #Kavanaugh.
