Reading the @moovelUS report on #MaaS. It’s okay. But I can’t help but think that #MaaS is only generating profit for consultants at the moment. Even the trials have consultants swimming through them.
And not even good ones. Traffic flow theory, anyone? An excerpt from a mobility as a service report, describing how a 37% reduction in traffic will lead to a 37% reduction in journey time.
Customary stupidly optimistic autonomous cars forecast to boot A forecast of the number of driverless cars in service by 2026. The UK has 2.1 million. The US 15 million.
Still it’s not all bad. It shows all the parts of #MaaS that are necessary for people to work collaboratively in. In other words all of it. A figure showing all the parts of the mobility as a service ecosystem
I’ve read worse. But it would be good to see better demonstrated, and have some thoughts back from the early trials as well. Not just more market forecasting guff.
