All fentanyl by-products should be illegal the moment they're manufactured. The drug is more powerful than heroin and responsible for thousands of overdose deaths in Massachusetts.
Fighting the opioid epidemic is the top priority of our office. In 2016 we passed a law in MA that criminalized fentanyl trafficking, and with a $1M DoJ grant we established a Fentanyl Strike Force with our @MassStatePolice partners.
@MassStatePolice We sued Purdue Pharma and its top executives over their role in creating this crisis by lying to doctors and patients about the dangers of their opioids, including OxyContin.
