Crime wars- a look at the future of low intensity, high violence regional conflicts. FP did a good article on the abstracts but simply need to go on mexican social media to see the reality. Photos from LNFM cartel pages foreignpolicy.com/2018/09/21/the…
Cartels change allies and names like the wind blows. But now in Michoacan state and that pacific coast area theres a couple main ones teaming up and fighting each other. Heres a convoy of Los Viagras, LNFM soldiers going to fight CJNG and friends or otherway around.
When the state fails and people take security into their own hands you get Autodefensas or popular militias/rural police whatever. Heres 'El Rambo' calling out Los Viagras leader and
Some more pics of Autodefensas, and as you can tell not all of them are created equal :P
Police wont go to areas without the Marines in some places now. Then on top of that the few clean ones wont stand a chance standing up to the corrupt cops. Heres mexican marines arresting an Acapulco Police captain. Oh and dont forget the ambushes and assassins.
And as a result of all that you get criminals or vigilantes hogtying people in the back of trucks openly driving around town to scare the locals. All this is like the typical warzones we read about
However, theres no heavy weapons involved, no airstrikes, no threats of intervention or sanctions so all this can stay relatively quite.. just slowly burning for decades till whole regions are lost from government control.
Let’s check in on our CJNG friends. Classic kidnapping video of rival cartel leader and then today 19 full or dismembered bodies, some hanging from bridges found in Michoacan with the classic narco banner. Not sure what it all says but basically, ‘be a patriot, kill a viagras’
CJNG declaring war on a rival, 'cártel de El Abuelo'
Car full of cartel del noreste hitmen killed in Nuevo Laredo. Some wearing full camo and tactical helmets with the Mexican flag. Anyone recognize the patch on this hat?
killed by a police/state(not sure) special operations groups CAIET, comes after the armed group of CDN, La Tropa del Infierno launched 2 attacks on police over the past weeks and blocked major roads to prevent a mexican military raid on their leader. pic 4 is previously captured
them raiding police position at the airport a couple days ago or something
CDN 'troops of hell' raiding a police position in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas like last week. If this video had this music... there would be like 15 think tanks analyzing every frame

Avdiivka battlefront. Ukraine hanging on for now but city is now destroyed and a bulge in the front lines
Russians still taking massive losses but Ukraine can’t hold on forever and failed to build any serious second lines of defense. So now moving Bradley’s and leopards to counter attack after Russian assault groups break through
People think IDFs power is in the jets or high end armor but it’s the bulldozers. Combat engineers can single handily shape a battlefield. Clear mines, destroy defenses, build defense, and seal tunnels. It’s a factor that’s starting to greatly effect the Ukrainian War too.
Give them a week and it’s visible from space. Really one of the less talked about military aspects that really sets countries apart.
if Russia cant capture Bakhmut, which it has been sending human wave attacks at for months. It will lose its its most hardcore military telegram fanbois
They kept attacking this and failing even when Russian units not that far away in lyman needed help
also why putin and the kremlin are trying to reach out to every hack that is in putins contacts. They NEED a ceasefire. Theyve been doing 'tactical pauses and regrouping' for months now. They need to find a way to get Ukraine to let off the pressure so they can rebuild their army
