Because you don't seem to understand the framing of "muling".
* #NotYourMule wasn't created to "save the black race". It doesn't need saving. Sub-Saharan Africa will reach 2 billion by 2050; &
* "Saving the community" is also not our burden. That's for USA govt.
And SOMEHOW in the minds of randoms it's still about "saving the race & community".
I'm telling you. Everyone wants to make use of us.
The idea that we must devote our entire lives to "busywork", despite DECADES of witnessing the same cycles is muling.
The only thing black women haven't done, en masse, is put the bags down and dare to take a timeout.
While it is true that institutional racism is always at work, wearing us down, our home environments (as in relationships) are stressing us too.
Sparing no one & nothing.
The innumerable expectations people have of us to "save the race" and "community" are toxic too.
Imagine walking around thinking you're a superhero.
They are *fictional characters*.
Remember, stress shows up on our DNA. And even tho we look like we age slowly on the surface, our telomeres are shorter than other women's.
Shorter telomeres = more diseases
