Small story: We use @Razorpay for our payouts. Saturday late night we ran out of balance as I missed the email alert. We have regular payouts using that balance. To our shock, our bank was under maintenance that night for 8 hours. We were wondering what to do. 1/5
We explored few other options but nothing worked out. I tried transferring from my personal account but my bank has 24 hours restriction after adding a beneficiary. UPI to that account could not happen as it’s a virtual account. Balance was fast diminishing. 2/5
I pinged @harshilmathur at 10:30pm and asked for help. I requested him to add 5 lakhs to our account. I know it was a long shot because it isn’t platform’s responsibility to fund (infact they charge ROI as its a revenue item). I still tried my luck 3/5

So many devs facing 8-10 days delay with app updates at @GooglePlayDev While the situation there doesn’t seem like improving (till vaccine comes 🤫) here are some factors which may help some developers.
For faster updates upload on Mi store and it auto updates the app (that should cover 30-50% of your base). 100% tested and it works. MI store approves within hours (remembering old play store days 😭)
Earlier text changes or store experiments didnt affect the release, now even a typo fix will push you back in the queue. DON’T touch play console after uploading the build. This technically renders Play Store A/B experiments useless as google killed this useful ASO feature

These are the only “Made in India” App in Top 50 in India. That’s just 14%. We need DeleteChina DeleteUSA DeleteRoW apps to fix this 🤷‍♂️
Next 50 has 18 Indian Apps including Paytm, Hotstar, Gaana, Zee5, SBI, Snapdeal, JioTV, Myntra, Khatabook, Sharechat, Unacademy, Buju, Mitron, Airtel xStream, Voot among others. So roughly one third representation in Top 100
