@priyankac19 absolutely wrong! let me expose u only thru ur thread bullet points. U r misleading people abt Netaji’s relation with Bapu&Nehru. Now care to respond to my rebuttal in case u have some substance 1/n cc @vivekagnihotri @RatanSharda55 @Chandrabosebjp @narendramodi
2/n @priyankac19 in ur 2/n, u refer to #Netaji naming his regiments after Gandhi, Nehru & Azad. This again is abt greatness of Netaji & not Gandhi, Nehru or Azad. Priyanka u shud stop perceiving those names to b as great as God & any attribution is only for their goodness.
3/n Priyanka let’s look closely at the greatness of Nehru in regards to #Netaji. Let’s begin with Tripura Convention of @INCIndia . In Tripura convention 1939,Nehru didn’t support Netaji’s candidature for President.
4/n @priyankac19 Despite that Netaji was elected Presi for the 2nd time. Even Bapu then had supported P Sitarrammayah as Cong Presi. But Netaji defeated Sitarrammaya with huge margin. Seeing the internal squabble in Congress Party, Netaji resigned as Congress President.
5/n @priyankac19 I’m sure that u r well aware that after Tripura Convention, In a letter to his nephew Amiya Bose on 17/4/1939, Netaji wrote, “Nehru hurt me with his conduct. Had he been neutral in Tripura, my position would have been much stronger”.
6/n He further wrote that Nehru’s own standing had suffered. ” Nehru was hooted and jeered when he rose to speak at the convention”.
Nehru’s opposition to Netaji was exposed further when Netaji with his Azad Hind Fauz was to enter Manipur via Burma from Singapore.
7/n @priyankac19 now let me give me gv u account of Dwijendra Nath Bose, Netaji’s nephew which happens to be part of Shah Nawaz’s report:
Attached is the letter by DN Bose written to Shah Nawaz on 5/7/1956
8/n The letter reveals as below:
"On the 21/2/1942, at a public meeting at Shradhanand Park, Calcutta, Shri J L Nehru uttered the following against Netaji which was reported in Anandbazar Patrika and Hindustan Standard and some other newpapers of the 22nd February 1942:
9/n 'Let him not commit the error that they had fallen into the past by thinking that they could ask for the aid of any power outside. Therein lay dangers; therein lay peril; and if any of them thought in those terms, it was not any kind of courage, it was a sign of cowardice.'"
10/n Further from letter:
A)In numerous public statements & speeches between April 1942 and August 1945, Shri Nehru said that Subhas Bose and his Azad Hind Fauz were "misguided", "mislead", "wrong in their methods", etc. Shri Nehru cannot deny all these.
11/n B)On the 23rd June 1945 at a press conference at Jinnah Hall, Bombay, Shri Nehru said as follows:- "When I was in Calcutta in 1942, there was a talk of Subhas Chandra Bose leading an Indian contingent of liberation against India. I was asked what my attitude would be...contd
12/n ...I said,I ll oppose him& fight him because he is coming under Japanese auspices& undr Japanese control & more for the advantage of Japan than for India.Bose ws quite wrong in hs methods whn he thought that he wud achieve the freedom of India with the help of the Japanese."
13/n @priyankac19 I believe my 12/n tweet replies ur 3/n that how Nehru responded to Netaji’s appeal for Congress support when he enters India with INA. Let’s now again get back to DN Bose’s letter.
14/n C)On the 12th April 1942, at a press conference in new Delhi, Shri Nehru made the following remarks against Netaji which appeared in the above named newspapers: - "It is a slave's sentiment, a slave's way of thinking to imagine that to get rid of one person...contd
15/n ... who is dominating us we can expect another person to help us and not dominate later. Free man ought not to think that way." At the same press conference, Shri Nehru said that he would oppose and fight Subhas Bose to death.
16/n D) In July-August 1945, in answer to some American journalists at Delhi, Shri Nehru said as follows:- "Subhas Bose formed the Forward Bloc to attack the Congress."
17/n @priyankac19 in ur 3/n & 4/n mention of Netaji’s respect for Gandhi ji is talked abt.Again this is something none can deny that Netaji respected Bapu a lot but at the same time we must understand what cooked in the other heart. Let’s peep into Bapu’s perspective abt Netaji
18/n In late December 1928, Netaji organised the Annual Meeting of the @INCIndia in Calcutta. His most memorable role was as General Officer Commanding (GOC) Congress Volunteer Corps. Author Nirad Chaudhuri writes as below about the meeting mentioning Bapu’s attitude as well:
19/n “Bose organized a volunteer corps in uniform, its officers being even provided with steel-cut epaulettes ... his uniform was made by a firm of British tailors in Calcutta, Harman's. A telegram addressed to him as GOC was delivered to the British General...contd
20/n... in Fort William & was the subject of a good deal of malicious gossip in the (BritIndian) press.M Gandhi being a sincere pacifist vowed to non-violence,didn’t like the strutting, clicking of boots & saluting, &he afterwards described the Calcutta session...contd..
21/n ... of the Congress as a Bertram Mills circus, which caused a great deal of indignation among the Bengalis.”
Let’s again go back to 1938-39. Netaji stood for unqualified Swaraj including the use of force. This meant a confrontation with Bapu... contd
22/n ... who in fact opposed Netaji’s presidency splitting the Indian National Congress party. Bose attempted to maintain unity, but Bapu advised him to form his own cabinet. @priyankac19 hope this briefly explains how Gandhi ji felt abt Netaji.
23/n 15/n Now let’s refer to ur 4/n tweet @priyankac19 wherein u talk of Netaji’s idea of religious harmony ,societal equality & ur suggestion to PM to learn from that. Then in that case I will like to ask u following(24/n-26/n):
24/n a)Netaji drew inspiration from Bhagwad Gita & also Vedanta as preached by Swami Vivekananda so y were u all red when NaMo offered a copy of Gita to foreign delegates.
b)Why still @INCIndia has not charged @TytlerJagdish @sajjankumar34 the propagators of 84 pogrom?
25/n c)Why did @INCIndia oppose ITT Bill?
d)Why @KapilSibal wanted Ram Temple verdict be pronounced only after 2019 even though majority Muslims too want it be resolved asap? What’s ur vested interest?
e)Why term like #BadHindu coined?
f)Why RaGa batted to prove his Hindu trait?
26/n g) where do u stand in #sabarimala ? Clearly people like #RehanaFatima have mocked the Hindu sentiments & of course I believe that u too agree that even Hindus ve equal rights of respect in India.
h)Pl clarify y MmS said that ‘Muslims ve first right on India’s resources?’
27/n @priyankac19 in 5/n u talk of Nehru’s reaction to Netaji’s death? Then in that case if u cud enlighten on following:
a)Why was Nehru snooping over Netaji family till b4 he left for heavenly adobe if he knew that Netaji has already died in plane crash?(ref:Netaji discl files)
28/n @priyankac19 let me quote from a letter written by Pd Nehru to foreign Sec Subimal Dutt on 27/11/1956. “Just before I left Japan, I heard that Shri Amiya Bose, son of Shri Sarat Chandra Bose, had reached Tokyo...contd...
29/n... He had, previously, when I was in India, informed me that he was going there. I should (sic) like you to write to our ambassador at Tokyo to find out from him what Shri Amiya Bose did in Tokyo. Did he go to our Embassy? Did he visit this Renkoji Temple?"
30/n @priyankac19 can u xpln wt was Chacha’s interest in snooping a dead leader’ family & y particularly was he so curious abt Renkoji Temple? Also can u xplain u no attempt was made to do DNA test of ashes kept in Renkoji temple even though ur party was busy snooping?
N/n @priyankac19 u may say us million lies but forget it that country shall ever look to forgive @INCIndia & dynasty for the mucky crime & traitor trait. Your party is unforgivable, u shall always remain guilty. The party of tenants & landlord! Rebuttal accepted if u can.
