1. I said this last year. Clapper warned Charles McCullough, who then served as the Intelligence Community’s watchdog, with severe consequences for his role in the Clinton probe.
In fact Hillary's team told him that he would be fired once she became president.
2. Newly declassified documents provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee show that CIA during the Obama administration read congressional emails discussing whistleblower complaints about activities within the intelligence community.

3. Charles McCullough wrote on March 28, 2014,  Congress that CIA’s security division read emails exchanged between congressional staffers and the top official in the Intelligence Community Inspector General office that protects whistleblowers.
4. CIA security said that the emails were picked up during a “routine counterintelligence (CI) monitoring of Government security systems,” according to McCullough, who provided the details in documents known as Congressional Notifications, or CNs
5. Grassley wrote to former CIA Director John Brennan and former National Intelligence Director James Clapperon April 14, 2014 seeking the declassification of the two CNs. Neither Obama-appointed official accommodated the request.
6. The release of the documents brings to an end a four-year fight between Iowa GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, and the intelligence community.

7. Grassley: "The fact that the CIA under the Obama administration was reading Congressional staff’s emails about intelligence community whistleblowers raises serious policy concerns as well as potential Constitutional separation-of-powers issues that must be discussed publicly"
8. Interesting question: seeing that Charles McCullough was involved originally with uncovering this and later his role in discovering classified documents on the Hillary Clinton server, is that why Hillary and Clapper were so keen to get rid of him?
9. What are the odds that the same person who originally shed light on CIA surveillance of emails and later discovered classified documents being sent over Hillary Clinton server would be tweeted by Trump?
And now we find out Grassley was pursuing it?
10. I would view this more in the direction of slowly closing the case on Hillary Clinton rather than simply discovering that the CIA intercepted emails. Charles McCullough probably knows way more than he let on. Hillary should be concerned.

11. Addendum: regardless of what the CIA claims was their actual intent, the end result is that they had unfettered access to stuff that could potentially influence elections, intimidate citizens and even spy on a potential presidential candidates.
