🇺🇸THREAD ~ Why Sources, Actions, & Photographs matter little: Logical thinking from an Artist's Perspective. Born left handed, but Mom was left handed & didn't want me to be. So, she taught me to be right handed. I like order, structure, tech, but I'm also an artist. (see next)
(2) People shout, "SOURCE!" as if providing source will resolve argument one way or another. After providing source, next issue: "Is the source 'credible'?" Ah HAH! This is where the effectiveness of brainwashing is tested. We are now misdirected. Focused on source, not argument.
(3) Brainwashing hinges on clever lies. It's true that the credibility of a source matters. However, the importance of credibility is subjective, and that's where the lie comes in. Does your God-given "inner voice" tell you that you cannot reason? You cannot think? WHO says this?
(4) Sources can be bought, crazy, unhinged, stupid, misinformed, uneducated, over-educated, self-important, not important enough... Some people are promoted more than others. Some words deserve to be read more than others. What makes a source, a source? If YOU listen to it. YOU.
5) Sources can lead us to our own thoughts & research. Words are not scary. Words do NOT have that kind of power. When books (tweets) burned (censored), someone wants control. Words can't inspire or corrupt us on their own. We have free will. Who hides words from us? Why? Motive?
6) If source may or may not be reliable, how about Actions? Nope. Can't fall for "actions speak louder than words" as proof of anything. Without knowing motive of an action, we don't really know why the action occurred. Some acts are intended to give illusion of future direction.
7) Example: company wants to improve image; hires PR person & run a charity event. The company is now "good"? Maybe. We don't know one way or another because we don't have enough information. Motive was profit, but maybe CEO loves helping people. Or maybe an evil turd. Don't know
8) Photographs - evidence? Maybe. Family Christmas party: Do you crop in on the happy child opening presents, or bratty cousin in background who just peed his pants? We all know how to craft an image that misleads, or doesn't tell whole story. We like to tell stories our own way.
9) As an artist, I see things as a whole. It's called gestalt. The painting is about the parts - single blobs of paint - coming together as a whole. The picture looks like nothing if focused on one blob. It's only when it all comes together that you see what it is.
10) If I miss a spot or make a mistake, would the lighthouse look less recognizable? Probably not. Depends on how many parts are missing/wrong. Look at truth from viewpoint of "gestalt". If source, action, or photograph is missing/flawed, can you still see the overall picture?
11) Exposures are coming. When they start to flow, so will campaign that everything we see is a lie. They'll say sources are bad, biased. Actions will be discredited by proving bad motives. Photographs shown to be misleading/fake. Of course truthtellers are crazy (& censored).
12) Because, propaganda giveth and taketh away. It can work in both directions. First, they built up a fake world. When exposed, they'll tear down the real one. Everything they do, to stage a lie, can be done in reverse, to destroy credibility. But not if we stand up to it. FIGHT
13) What if you can't rely on the parts? What if sources aren't reliable, actions have motives, and photographs don't tell the whole story? What does the picture make, when the parts don't come together in a logical way, creating a picture we all recognize the same way? Abstract.
14) Art & music have logical, math based structure. You can create art following a method, such as paint-by-number, or learning how to paint a row of trees by copying paint strokes, learning it as a skill. Ditto music - can learn how to play. But some play by ear, compose. Paint
15) What I'm trying to say, is that I think we're going to have to rely on our gut. Intuition. Spiritual insight. We're going to have to use the principle of gestalt - see the overall picture of truth, even if the parts don't all fit. We may not recognize the picture the same way
16) But can't we still recognize when someone makes our skin crawl? When something is "off"? Don't we know when someone is good to us? Do we have empathy when people show real emotion? Animals know. Children know. Do we remember who we are? This is me, as a child. I'm still her.
17) Don't let anything shake you from your gut feeling, overall picture you see in your heart. Even if trusted source turns out to be a traitor, action you believed in deceives you, or photograph tricks you - don't close your eyes. Trust yourself. Deep down, you know what's real.
18) So much evil, hatred, unimaginable horror in this world. Tragedy, greed, corruption, shocking distortion of genetics - humanity - science - spirit... but there is also Good. There is Light, there is God, and God *always* wins. ❤️Faith, hope, love❤️God bless you. /end thread/
