Thread: Some Stuff Bugs Me about that Papadopolous Interview

1. George Papadopolous was interviewed yesterday by Dan Bongino. I took a shot at transcribing the conversation here but recommend watching the interview yourself (linked in the thread):
2. I don’t claim to understand all the nuanced relationships among the various cast of characters involved in the Papadopolous saga, but some things strike me as pretty darn peculiar in sifting through his various responses.
3. I’m going to touch on the things that struck me and pose some questions that I hope will be posed to and answered by Pdop hopefully in a subsequent Bongino interview. And I hope Bongino gets another shot because I appreciate his interview style of LETTING PEOPLE TALK!
4. Let’s get going. First of all, in the first minutes of the interview, Pdop stated that he worked for a “Western intelligence front org” of some kind in London. Questions:
a. When did he start there?
b. How did he get placed there? What was the process, and who hired him?
4. (cont’d)
c. For whom was he working directly?
d. What did he actually do there?
e. What was the purpose of the org itself?
5. He next states that “someone” there told him to go to an “Italian university” in Rome to meet with Mifsud before starting work for the Trump campaign. Questions:
a. Who told him to go there?
b. What was the purpose of that “university”?
5. (cont’d)
c. Did he meet with anyone else at the university, and if so, for what express purpose?
6. Pdop then denies he was ever working for “Western intel” agencies against Trump. I just don’t believe that denial. I remain convinced that he was recruited to infiltrate the Trump campaign and was actually TRAINED to do so at the London front org.
7. In fact, I think he may have even volunteered to spy on the Trump campaign from the beginning, which could have been the reason he was sent to the “university” in Italy. He comes across as being a very ambitious young man – one who saw opportunity and reward….
7A. …in aiding the takedown of Trump and subsequent election of Hillary Clinton. All signs in early 2016 were that Hillary was going to win walking away; what better way to start climbing the ladder than to help a president into the Oval Office?
8. So if he was indeed dirty from the beginning – and a co-conspirator/spy – then the question becomes, at what point did he decide on his apparent course of action to expose the conspiracy? I think that happened when he was arrested at Dulles and taken before a magistrate.
9. At that point, he started building the story he conveyed to Bongino in that interview – a self-serving tale that obfuscates much of the truth, as well as his initial motivations for involvement at the London center.
10. And his subsequent involvement with all the players: Vinogradova, Mifsud, Halper, Tawil, Downer, Turk, Millian, etc. I would like someone to ask him what he hoped to accomplish by meeting all these characters in the first place. Why did he take the meetings?
11. Pdop stated that two guys from the US embassy in London queried him on 2 May 2016. His discussion of that interaction was less than forthcoming. Questions:
a. What agency or agencies did they represent?
b. Who told them to interview Pdop?
11. (cont'd)
c. What was their real purpose?
d. Was that the only time he ever met with them? E.g., were they associated in any way with the London front org about which he spoke earlier in the interview?
12. If we are to believe Pdop, he turned on the conspiracy when Mueller and company burned him for that $10K payment. I’m not so sure. I think everything he says is self-serving. WHY he is doing what he's doing now, i.e., giving interviews on Fox and with Bongino?
13. I also question his political motivations/beliefs. To my knowledge, he's never said ANYTHING pro-Trump EVER. Someone needs to ask him a direct question about what his opinion of Trump is and carefully watch his body language as he responds.
14. I am convinced that he thought he was involved in training to become an operative for some agency, and someone singled him out to exploit due to his fairly shady background/connections.
15. It’s possible if not likely that others in the cabal planned to burn him as necessary depending on his usefulness in furthering the Russian collusion narrative.
16. He was dirty until he realized he was being used and has since developed a pitch that presents himself and his motives (to the extent that he can come up with them and not look completely foolish) in the best possible light. His story doesn’t ring completely true to me.
17. Although I’d be happy to see my questions answered, I will leave it to the real sleuths in the Conservative Twittersphere to ferret out the inconsistencies in his public statements so far, including his Bongino interview. The full story is not yet known, folks. ///The end.
