This surveillance tech is deployed at Sabarimala currently with Artificial Intelligence based high-res cameras fitted onto drones synced with various databses and biometric profiles under what they call "Predictive Policing" - stopping crime before it starts or future crimes.
Under Predictive Policing Hot Spot analysis police personnel will analyze & predict geographical areas of increased crime on basis of crime data. It will process all patterns relating to time of occurrence, exact locations, even shops, hotels, bars or other establishments.
Detectives will study social & infrastructural environment of a location & its local demography. Analysis will also be made of such things as local weather conditions, days on which offences are committed, whether it was around pay-day etc. But how they know its your pay-day? :)
Based on big data, sleuths will analyze factors like 1) which are the communities living in the particular area 2) their population 3) their lifestyle 4) general behavior 5) social issues -- all of which will be used in assessing whether a particular area is crime-prone or not.
Crime pattern identification, crime prediction & alerts, redeployment of police resources, monitoring social media & news analysis relating to crime is part of the project. But the key is historical crime data for which too software is being developed for Predictive Policing.
Heres our Home Minister at ‘Predictive Policing & Contemporary Challenges for Indian Police forces’ conference launching the agenda report ‘Predictive policing & way forward’ by Ernst & Young which is a major stakeholder in Aadhaar project.

We have already written (#thread below) about how #Microsoft is turning Indian intelligence agencies into their pet Command & Control centres turning India into a giant surveillance hub. Now with Predictive Policing Units this is a whole new level.
"We have obtained data from states like Kerala Maharashtra Odisha & Tripura to develop models for predictive policing & once tools & models are finalized these states will have the facility in first phase. Subsequently it will be released to all states in a phased manner" -Source
Following LAPD Chicago Police NYPD & lead by E&Y Rand Corporation the National Crimes Records Bureau is aims to deploy Predictive Police Units in all states across India. But do you know GoI has given this critical Homeland Security issue in foreign hands?
newindianexpress.com/nation/2017/se…
To spy on Indians and predict if they are criminals or monkeys the Indian Govt invited foreign corporations to display their surveillance gadgets at the homeland security conference aptly called 'Predective Policing & Contemporary Challenges for Indian Police Forces'.
Apart from E&Y, Maharashtra Govt has appointed another Aadhaar stakeholder and banned/blacklisted firm PwC for involvement in numerous frauds to setup dedicated building, recruit manpower, acquire necessary hardware, software & equipment for the state's Predictive Policing Unit.
While computer algorithms by themselves are (not) error free we have to keep in mind that the data being fed into the system creating the algorithm is not free from bias. And that is exactly where the problem with predictive policing lies. But what harm can it do you ask? Read on
Algorithms can encode human bias whether intentionally or otherwise. This happens by using historical data or classifiers that reflect bias (such as labeling gay/dalit households separately etc). This is especially true for machine-learning algorithms that learn from users input.
Recently in one of biggest tech mergers IBM acquired Red Hat for $34 billion which is backbone of BSE, NSE, GST, LIC, SBI, Railways, CBDT, EPFO as well as Aadhaar. Is it a coincidence all Aadhaar stakeholders are also into Predictive policing? To what end?

Did you know the same foreign military lobby contracted for Aadhaar by UIDAI and now pushing Predictive Policing in India, created the punch card technology knowingly that facilitated Holocaust during World War 2 resulting in the death of millions?
gginews.in/the-secret-his…
How many of you know the origin of IBM? How & why it was created? Why are there so many legal cases against IBM accusing it of genocide and facilitating the Holocaust? Was IBM really involved in the Holocaust? Why this same company is behind Aadhaar?
Did IBM started laying groundwork for Holocaust even before Hitler came to power? What was the exact nature of its involvement? Why UIDAI chose such firm for Aadhaar? Did not GoI know numerous legal cases going on against IBM in International courts?

This same surveillance tech is now deployed at Sabarimala feeding realtime info from AI based high-tech cameras/drones synced with various databases & biometric profiles directly onto the screens of wearable glasses of Predictive Police who may nab you based on an algorithm.

One of the company invited by GoI for spying on Indians for Predictive Policing to determine if youre a criminal or not is Chinese Dà-Jiāng Innovations (DJI Sciences) accused by US Intelligence of spying for Chinese Govt & stealing critical infrastructure & law enforcement data.
Now deployed at Sabarimala this Chinese firm DJI as per US Intelligence, "DJI's criteria for selecting accounts to target appears to focus on the account holder's ability to disrupt critical infrastructure." And now DJI is surveying & mapping Indian critical infrastructure data.
DJI is particularly interested in infrastructure like railroads & utilities, companies that provide drinking water as well as weapon storage facilities & are collecting sensitive intelligence that Chinese government could use to conduct physical or cyber attacks against India.
As a result in August, a US Army memo directed its members to immediately stop using all DJI products due to cybersecurity concerns -- something that the Australian Defense Force also did. Ironically Indian Govt traded its sovereignty for spying on Indians
google.co.in/amp/s/www.wire…
As we have discussed before, India is a Spies Paradise & Indian Govt with utter ignorance or disregard to National Security has opened the Gates & is openely trading the sovereignty of India in the guise of Predictive Policing its own citizens. What can be more absurd than that?
Policy paper prepared by Govt advisors E&Y says "Predictive policing offers the opportunity to the law enforcement agencies to pre-emptively act against predicted crimes
by focusing on crime-prone areas and individuals at the risk of offending or being targeted."
Further it says, "If crimes can be stopped before they are committed, it has great social and economic value not just for those at the risk of being victims of such crimes, but also for the offenders, as they can be stopped from making life altering mistakes." But theres a catch.
They say Predictive Policing can catch criminals based on their past & present behaviour. Going by the same logic if only GoI cast their eyes, each and every firm contracted by them have shady history and many even banned & blacklisted in India. PwC, E&Y, DJI Sciences & on & on.
Now that Chinese Intelligence has managed to penetrate Indian Police Forces and are actively surveying and mapping our military installations in the guise of Predictive Policing, how long do you think will it take for Pakistani Intelligence to get hold of this information?
