Court document: Out of nearly 30 state prisons in California, only five provided uninterrupted psychiatric care from 2016 to 2017 and only six ensured inmates were current on their care.
23 prisons -- the ones listed in red, had a higher-than-acceptable amount of staff vacancies in their psychiatric department.
CDCR's own compliance data is shaky because, as this email shows, the prisons were sometimes reporting weekly that an inmate was up to speed on their care when they actually hadn't been seen for months.
