The ability to cook and prepare meals is a love language.

The best way to learn to cook is from your elders.

Cooking is becoming a lost art in many households.
Don’t let it happen in yours.
I was raised in a family that prepared home cooked meals and ate together at the dinner table.

There are many lessons and bonding that occurs when you eat with the people that you care about the most

Relationships breakdown when you stop eating together
Learning to cook for yourself is a healthier way to eat.
You will reduce your exposure to illness.
You will save tons of money.

In my family, we express our love and appreciation through cooking.
I'm fortunate that I had Grandparents who encouraged me to cook.
Learning to cook is NOT mastered on YouTube.
Yes, you can pick up excellent tips and ideas.

Get your hands dirty. Burn a few meals. Add too much salt, sugar.
Invite friends over. Drink lots of wine, turn your music up loud and enjoy the process.
My family has been encouraging me to bottle up and sell my dipping sauces & marinades for *years* now.

The challenge is that I despise following recipes when I cook :-)

Cooking for me is about creativity, trying new things, breaking the rules of taste and palette.
Growing up my family owned a restaurant.

My Grandma made all the pies, cakes, and side orders.
Whenever I came to visit, she would step back and coach me.

What I value most is that she would ask questions to make me think
instead of telling me what to do.
Waaaay back in 2011, my Uncle and I published a short book on Amazon
on cooking tips for busy people.

The formatting is awful as I was beginning my publishing journey but I left it on the market as-is because it reminds me of great family memories.

2 years ago, my Uncle and I published 31 Days of Soup.

This project is great because it's a deep dive into food that warms the soul and if done correctly is an amazing compliment to a great 3 course meal.

Eat more soup!

You can memorize all 48 laws of power, join Toastmasters, and even read The Prince 5 times.

If I have the opportunity to cook for you, then you will never forget me lol.

Our stomachs are our second brain. Learn to cook and your influence will skyrocket.
Please understand that no matter how knowledgeable or talented that you may believe that I am...

I am nothing more than the product of a close-knit extended family.

These Tweets are recordings of family values I was exposed to in my life.

Family is the first business.
