Unpopular opinion: I buy from every local kid that comes to my door selling some sort of discount card. That $10-20 buys me 2 minutes to talk to them about how to sell to the houses. Here's what I mean:
It lets me tell them what they're doing right. Are you meeting my product, internal and external objections?
I tell all the kids to do this stuff before the person asks (important point). If you know my objections and can answer them before I ask, I feel like I can trust you and want to buy from you.
First, product objections:

1. How long will this card last? Show me the expiration date.
2. If I say I don't eat at those places listed. Ask me if I get my oil changed or will need new tires this year. There's discounts for those to.
Second, internal objections:

Am I the kind of person who does this? Let me know how it'll help me. If it looks like I have a nice car, compliment it. (maybe that's weird if your 11, but whatever). Tell me it'll be a nicer night out with the family when we get a discount.
Or if I'm worried about being ripped off, show me the other houses you've sold to. I don't want to lose status by making this purchase but if I see I'll stay equal with my neighbors or gain status, I'm more likely to buy.
Last, external objections:

What if I have questions later? Show me the organization you're working with and show me on the card the number to call if I have any questions.
Finally, if I don't buy, ask me why. Not abrasively, but just ask if you can ask me one more question and if I say yes, just ask why. That insight will be invaluable for getting more sales.
They're like 11 or 15 or whatever so they mostly ignore me, but it's still worth it.
