Hard right MP David Davies is streaming his parliamentary meeting against "self-ID". So far:

"Male violence"
"Karen White"

He's taken his talking points from Mumsnet.
He's now making up statistics and can't name the relevant studies. Only citing anecdotal evidence.
Apparently has no idea how the Equality Act works either.
And bingo! Speaking against Mermaids, Pink News now. Speaking in favour of Venice Allen.
"This is about debate"
"Atmosphere of menace"
"How many times have minister met with Transgender Trend or A Woman's Place"
"I will do my utmost to oppose this"
Layla Moran now explaining the Equality Act. It's about time too.
Layla Moran - "Are we proposing changing the 2010 Act, if that's what's being questioned, that's a rolling back and not a reform"
Of course Mumsnet are loving the MP who has repeatedly voted against women's rights and LGBT rights.
While bashing a woman MP who dares speak against them.

That's feminism folks!
Layla "Trans rights are human rights"
"Discussion of LGBT rights is still based on fear"
"We do not make policy on the basis of that" - speaking about people abusing the system.
Mumsnet continuing the bashing of women who they don't like.
"Changing one's gender is not something anyone would do lightly"
"Don't trans people need the same protections from male violence as other groups of women"
Dawn Butler in the room now, speaking about #TDoR

Asking the room to reflect on this and the high rates of suicide among the trans community.
Butler tells Davies that his remarks were "insensitive"
I've lost track of this but to sum up:

Women MPs are kicking Davies arse, he looks very defeated and mumsnet are foaming at the mouth, as per usual.
Dawn Butler asking the government to explain the timeline for reports on the consultation. Asking for confirmation that there will be no loss of rights for trans people.
Hannah - "there must be no rolling back of rights"
More than 100,000 responses to the consultation, a response should be ready by Spring 2019.
"There will be NO loss of trans rights" - regarding the consultation process and any changes to the GRA
Atkins now explaining the current GRA process,
Layla now talking about spousal consent and how it stops trans people from applying for a GRC.

*personal note, as the spouse of a trans person, the veto HAS to go
Atkins now talking about refuges and their risk assessments and rights regarding the EA 2010.
"We are committed to protecting single-sex services"
Speaking of children "We have no intentions of lowering the age in which people can change their gender"
Davies now saying that the promise of debate is just "lip-service"
MPs now taking a break.
In conclusion:

Davies looked like an idiot
Loads of cis women supported trans rights
Mumsnet is still foaming at the mouth and abusing women who disagree with them.
